GreenPlanet,,, That's the difference between republicans of the 50's & these today... Today's republicans flatly don't care about the troops or an actual democracy.

This is so sad; while everyone bickers and accuses each other of stupidity, lives are lost every minute. I wish that the Bush Administration would listen to the voters; our presence is causing more and more of these attacks. People have died every day since the November elections, and each day leaves them more complicit in the crimes against humanity.

Radio,, Back in those days, my family was so republican, we named our dog after Ike --- If we only knew then what we know now, things would have been much differant.

These Bushies are stacked on top of each other in the ovens, crying "Mr. Bush our great hero" ---
- Bush is standing in front holding the door shut while turning up the heat.

"Eisenhower was also a republican & a President,, these idiots would deny it." these neo.cons are neither Republican nor conservative.

They are same self serving scum who would take money from poor people to play golf in Scotland and hide a child predator amongst their ranks to preserves their "Lasting Majority" , which thank goodness did not last past Nov 2006. Same nice crew who played golf and guitar while bodies were floating in New Orleans.

Lovely bunch of coconuts, but they would all make Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt & Eisenhower want to puke!!

Even the contract for repair of Bldg 18 at Walter Reed went to a Haliburton sub contractor... As in Iraq, reconstruction was a failure, as we've seen.... Have you noticed they only painted over the mold ??

Radio,,, Mbcsmith would call Ike a coward & insult his military career... Or make the claim Bush is Eisenhower as they've tried to do on Patton, FDR, Truman, Lincoln, Washington & others.

They seem to run whenever I post that line or confront them with facts like us funding the terrorist we are supposed to be fighting.

lars...I repeat. Each country is different. Just because you invade Afghanistan does not mean that it's a good reason to invade Iraq. It doesn't make it legal or moral either.

A commander that cannot except or admit when he is wrong is not a mind of consience, it is a mind that has betrayed itself.

I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, and its stupidity.

I guess in your mind the person who wrote this is a liberal, sorry Eisenhower

Lars,

The issue is the legal authority to invade Iraq and nothing else. Offering red herrings and straw men is a typical ploy when confronted with irrefutable facts.

The irrefutable fact is tha the US & UK did not have the legal authority to invade Iraq.

Period.

Which makes the US & UK led invasion of Iraq legally equivalent to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. Or, Nazi Germany's invasions of (everywhere).

Attempting to change the subject will not alter that fact.
