- as far as setbacks go, invading Iraq has to be the all time champ.
Here is a partial list of setbacks
It set back the US economy by trillions,
it has set back the military by 3100 plus dead bodies and 15,000 plus mained bodies,
it has setback US foreign relations to a point BEFORE WWII
it has setback the bill of rights to before it was ever written
it has setback American people safety to a point I don't even know
it has setback the power and prestige of the presidency to Warren Harding.
Yes, I have to conclude that in one single stupid, ill-advised, fantasy based action, the neocon lead Bush administration has managed to do more harm to the US and to the completely undeserving Iraqi people than I would have thought possible.
And for what?? To expand the industrial military complex that Eisenhower warned about so they could make loads of money and protect Israel as an aside. Anyone who had anything to do with promoting this insane idea should be put on trial just like the Nazis were after WWII for crimes against humanity for starting an unecessary war.
Bush can play the role of Hess. - Reply to this comment
- As usual, mbc, you try to portray anyone who is not a neocon as a traitor.
I never see the libs shouting hooray when we suffer setbacks in Iraq, which are almost daily occurrances, BTW.
It's not that libs wish to see America shamed, as you portay it, but rather that they recognize that your idol has already shamed America with his boondoggle and his desires that it go on ad infinitim....

I portray any American who does not wish to see the U.S. miltary SUCEED in Iraq as a traitor. That includes Mutha, Pelosi, Biden, Obama, Clinton and that a**hole Republican fron Nebraska Can you acknowledge at least some improvement? - Reply to this comment
- "Also Saturday, the U.S. military said it killed "key terrorists" who were using anti-aircraft artillery to fire at American military helicopters near Taji, north of Baghdad."
-Woohoo! Go USA!

Just think rick, in a few weeks or months you'll probably be able to cheer the killing of Muslims in Iran as well as in Afghanistan and Iraq.

- formrusmcsgt She is making several assertions in regards to Iran, that there are no nuclear weapons, no bombs coming in from Iran into Iraq, and then is tripping over herself by asserting that Admiral Walsh is very concerned as others regarding Iran's activites. She further states that a war with Iran is inevitable and not a question of if but when? The link is :

- More of the "squeeze the balloon game" that occurs in dealing with guerillas.
The US and Iraqi forces tighten down in Baghdad and the guerillas carry on elsewhere. The guerillas have the advantage of deciding when and where to strike.
It is not in their best interests to strike where a large American of Iraqi troop presence exsists, so they work where that presence isn't. You tighten here, they attack there.
There are no front lines in assymetrical warfare. - Reply to this comment
