"United States is pumping $38 billion into infrastructure projects across Iraq. That includes spending $1.7 billion on 182 reconstruction projects to help improve Iraq's oil production infrastructure, refinery and export capacity. Yet Iraq's reported oil production remains below prewar levels."

What the hell are we doing spending BILLIONS of US dollars in Iraq that are accomplishing NOTHING but funding the insurgency, while here at home we have MILLIONS of kids and elderly that need that money just to f.u.c.k.i.n.g live!!!!

This just really pisses me off and is one of the reasons I HATE Bush, Cheney and anyone else who started the Iraq disaster and continues to throw good money after wasted money.

Why weren't these meters installed in 2003 when they should have been??? This is another example of the STUPID STUPID handling of the war.

How much more money is the US going to waste trying to fix problems that should never have occurred?? And Bush wants ANOTHER 245 billion just this year!!

The answer is NO. NO MORE MONEY. Bring the troops home.

I not sure if you saw the CBS NEWS the other night...
to fill you in they did a story on IRAQI WOMEN who were refugees in SYRIA
have to become PROSTITUTES in order to obtain food and shelter in SYRIA
We hear of TONS (130?TONS) of $100 dollar bill be given out all over IRAQ
yet these women have to become PROSTITUTES in order to SURVIVE

it was a great story because it shows how this is a war
for the RICH and INFLUENTIAL

NOT A WAR for FREEDOMS or IDEALS...

I knew there was a problem ,
however I did know how bad the problem had become...

WHAT MAKES ME FURIOUS
is they talk about giving out
TRUCK LOADS of MONEY in Iraq
Now thieves stealing Billions in oil...

yet there is NO MONEY
for the provisions (FOOD and SHELTER)
for these IRAQI REFUGEES...???

IN MY OPINION THIS WHOLE WAR

IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM TO EMPTY OUT THE TREASURY
AND
GIVE THE CRIMINAL ELITE POWER OVER US
(i.e. Taking away OUR RIGHTS...)

Why are we fighting in Iraq?
After war profiteers and straight out stealing of hundreds of billions of dollars, the reason the White House is there is sumed up in one line in this article, "Iraq holds the world's second-largest proven oil reserves %u2014 approximately 100 billion barrels, with the potential of as high as 200 billion barrels. Control of that wealth is now up for grabs and is the major driving force behind the violence in Iraq"

It is amazing, when they say "the theft of the century" they are not kidding. They've stollen $12billion ($12,000 million)in cash shipped to Iraq from the U.S. in 2003-2004. They've stollen trailer truck loads of cash from the Iraqi banks and blamed it on Saddams son. Cash houses in Saddams palace were plundered for 100's of millions. There are militia men over there taking bribes and robbing citizens of who knows what. Soldiers are smuggling stacks of cash home to the U.S., and now we find that high level officials are stealing $20-30 million a day from oil for years now. This was all that has been reported in the news in the last week alone. How much American tax payer dollars was stolen out of the $500,000million so far payed for this war (you know our top level officials and contract companies like Haliburton are getting their share of free money). Atleast we know now who supports the Bush/Cheney war in Iraq, and why. Largest robbery of the century is an understatment, a vast understatement.

The "JEWELS" (OIL FIELDS) were the first operation of the Iraq War. The call back to say they were secure came before taking Baghdad.

Why did it take four years for this bright leadership to say "Oil is being stolen to pay for the insurgency?" Do you suppose the Iraqi leaders (and ours) looked the other way? Is the fight really over "who controls the oil fields?" Why is the importance of "METERS" being focused on right now, taking the heat off the "surge"?

Corruption, lies, greed....plenty to go around when there is no accountability. Soooo many questions, and not enough answers. DEBATE, DEBATE, DEBATE........but taking no action would be time, effort and more money wasted.

Did somebody give computers and internet access to the group homes? There's been some really retarded posts popping up lately all over this web site. This is a message board! Not a chat room! Go play somewhere else.

This is a very disturbing development. It speaks to corruption in the Iraqi government - obviously at high levels. If they can't police themselves, there's very little we can do for them.

Who knows how much money has been stolen? Congress should say no to any new funding until the old funding is accounted for.
