- lars008 has in his mind, exactly as a Muslim does that his flavor of religion's "God" is the one true "God," and that all others are false. As proof, each offers his "Holy" book, the Bible or the Qur'an. The religions themselves aren't the problem. The problem is the simple minded fanatics of either flavor of religion. Their bigotry belies their would-be holiness and both religions have left similar trails of blood and death, for God's sake in their wake. Both have sects that have fought for their particular sub-flavor of the religion. Religious fanatics are the same regardless of the religion that gives rise to their fanaticism, and are dangerous to all around them. Both groups of fanatics are offended when their nearly identical natures are pointed out to them.

- Under no circumstances is Jehovah, the God of the Bible, and Allah, of the Koran, the same. First of all, the God of the Bible is a God of love and redemption, who sent His Son into the world to die for our sins. Allah tells people to die for him in order to get salvation, but there is no understanding of salvation. Allah was the moon god from Mecca. That is why Islam has the crescent moon. The flag of Turkey has a crescent moon with a star in it. Well, the crescent moon is because Allah was the moon god, and that is the deal. But we don't serve a moon god. We serve the God of creation, the Creator of everything.
They are not the same. To translate Allah as God is wrong. When you see something in there and it says Allah, you translate it Allah. Don't call it God because it is different. God is Elohim. He is the Creator, the Jehovah God, Yahweh. Yahweh of the Old Testament was the Father who brought forth Jesus into the world.

- Lars008, you don%u2019t seem to understand that the Islamic religion that you joyfully try to demonize is issued from Christianity, even closer to Judaism than what you believe, and you know.
Check the content of the books and you%u2019ll see how similar they are, very very, very similar.
One has to admit religions have been a useful survival tools for human race throughout history on this Earth. Religious Models (namely Islam) have brought some hygiene innovations and rules that protected the humans from dying of infectious diseases (by washing before every prayer, five times a day), or by keeping a good health by fasting for a month (Ramadan/Anti-Big-MacFrench-Fries-HugeCoke)/ prohibiting Alcohol Consumption and subsequent national pandemic alcoholism, and by applying a principle of wealth distribution among population individuals such as charity taxes (Tzedakah, Zakat%u2026).
Some religious leaders and Zealots are exaggerating the role of religions (we have a great example in the person of neocons%u2019 leader; Walking-Liar Bush). There are some stupid people like you who are easily influenced and aren%u2019t able to criticize an expression of hate toward some groups of the Society. - Well, Bush and his evil cabal are ahead if you count the number of people killed. Bush and cohorts have managed to kill more people than Saddam Hussein ever did, and, at a much higher cost per kill. If you toss in all the destruction, Bush & Co. are way ahead of the competition.
I don't know about the Bushes, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Rice, but if it were me, I know that I would not be able to sleep at night.
