Either admit it is a war and kill till there is no resistance ... including Iran and Syria and every nation in ANY way supporting the insurgents, or claim Iraq as US teritory, ban all languages except English anywhere ... and locking the borders down solidly, kill anything that moves without full authorization ...

Then move to Saudi and take back our investment there by deposing and killing off the Royal Family Sauds adn taking that country back too ... after all, they have been the primary sponsors of most of the terrorist organizations, and were even, before we deposed Sadam, trying to purchase some nucs for use against Israel and the USA both ...

Time we tell the truth ... these folks are not our friends, they are not our buddies, and their belief system, so long as we allow it to endure will doom us to failure over there ...

Want to win, go to the extremes ... convert the countries to English and western culture, kill off all who want a religious base for their culture or countries, and teach them new ways ... make the mideast AMERICAN teritory till the conversion is done, and then give them some autonomhy ... ala ... Guam ... else we are doomed there ... wasting american lives ...

In the mean time, turn the area to american profits, our oil, our minerals, our everything ... enough *** trying to be "politically correct" ... time for some reality ...

In the words of crude but wise country philosophers "*** or get off the pot".

Well folks, how about we stop all this president bashing and stick to issues of logistics, policy, and analysis of the event sequence that unfolded ... look for the facts and ways to improve.

First of all, whether we like our current president or not, he is the Chief and we, as American Citizens should get behind him and do everything possible to make his policies and missions work, not to undermine them.

If we have criticism, lets stick to the facts, adn make constructive recomendations on how operations, missions, policies might be improved, not undermine our own country with unnecessary controversy.

As for the specifics of the attack, simply put, this demonstrates the dangers of mixed missions. We train our soldiers and our general officers on how to conduct WAR, not on how to be revolutionaries and champion civil revolution and media revolution to entice a people to a new way of thinking and to do police work.

Simply put, they are not trained for this environment, not equipped for this environment, and are caught in a trap there, lacking the authority to enforce fully and as robstly as they should be able to, and lacking the equipment and personnel to do so, in any case.

One can not be a policeman and a soldier at the same time ... to try ... means that we do a bad job of being cops, and get killed trying to be "kind" soldiers ... not good at all.

Embarrassing more than anything else, but then maybe it was a result of a false sense of security since there were Iraqi's on guard, but then again how can you relax or feel safe with Iraqi's guarding you? like I said, embarrassing more than anything else! I wouldn't have a warm and fuzzy feeling if Iraqi's were protecting me!

This is terrible! I want to send my condolences to the family, and wish them all the very best. It must be devastating for them to find this information out, about their family members.

Still the question remains, how could this happen, and who was responsible for the breakdown in security? There should be a full investigation, and those responsible punished. Those in the military who let the security be breached so easily, should be sent to Leavenworth, and the perpetrators, who killed those those four soldiers, should face a firing squad. Only then then will those soldiers have the justice they most definitely deserve.

Level the place.

Skyk and Bluestar and go and mop it up. That is, after they stop playing Lawrence of Arabia with each other...tee hee.

Just make any terror stronghold a paved parking lot. It will make it easier for our troops to come home, and give the vast majority of Iraquis the freedom they deserve.

So we're waiting for the Iraq police / military / security forces to step up to the plate, and take control of the security of their own country. Meanwhile, these same security forces are letting insurgents and terrorists run free throughout the country and pass right through security check points, while apparently letting them attack our unarmed troops who are living outside of the "green zone". And the Bush surge plan is to put more troops with the Iraqi security forces outside of the "green zone"? I don't see how anyone can support this president. He is obviously delusional and should have to submit to a psychiatric evaluation - as should all the people that still support him.
