Singinrick, everyday same sh*t, whining about how liberals don't support Bush. Bush is the most despised man on the planet, a great majority of Americans now believe we should never have removed Saddam from power and that number is growing everyday. Get it into your thick skull we libs are never never never never gonna support your president, live with it, and stop whining

"What happened to liberal values like Harry Truman?? He was a democrat and he tried diplomacy to get Japan to surrender. He pleaded for their surrender. Then on August 6th 1945 he ordered the bombing of Hiroshima...

This sounds more like something out of the George Bush book of desperation with him pleading and begging Al Maliki to do what he wants him to. I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate to nuke the whole Middle East if he could be sure it wouldn't hurt the oil. And clearly you misunderstood what I meant with my opinion yesterday that if Bush is intent on attempting to establish 'democracy' in Iraq, then he best get the warring factions to the negotiating table sooner rather than later to have any hope whatsoever of brokering any sort of agreement. Although I suspect he's twiddling his thumbs in this arena because he can't deal with the reality of them telling him to go stuff it with his ideas for them and how they should run their country.

Bush needs to head to his nearest Borders and purchase a copy of 'He's Just Not That Into You'.

Singinrick, your tirades against liberals are boooring zzzzzzzzzzzz. You are clearly out of touch with the feeling of a majority of Americans. Look at Bush's poll #s hovering between high 20s and low 30s, according to a new Wall street journal poll, 55% of Americans believe that Bush is a failure. As a liberal, I am proud to stand against everything you believe in, and I'm gonna keep shooting my mouth off and bashing your hero, the "failure" at every opportunity. You may wish liberals would change, but as my old mom used to say "you can wish in one hand and sh*t in the other, see which fills first.

Democrats were voted into office because the voters were tired of hearing the Dems complain that America was headed in the "wrong direction".

Now that Democrats are in the majority, and the president has laid out a new plan from the Baker Commission, the Military Generals, and after consulting Congress...

...the Democrats still say we are headed in the "wrong direction".

Do you get the impression that the Democrats "direction" is RETREAT FROM THE ENEMY?

singingrick, YOU have got to stay away from those Klan Rally's or where ever it is you get your Fascism. YOU are one sick puppy! When you look at what YOU, yes YOU Radical Conservatives did to Truman for EXACTLY the same thing LIBERALS today are trying to do, that is SAVE AMERICAN Lives and resist the God Awlful Sin of trying to Dominate the rest of the world because YOU think you are superior! To even IMPLY that the Great Harry Truman would have this nation bogged down in a Country that has done NOTHING and I mean absolutely NOTHING to us, is FASCISM at it's best!! When you have to face the TRUTH that LIBERALS have been right about this thing for day ONE AND taken into account the FACT that we are LOSING, I'd say we should be doing what American's did during Truman's day!! LISTEN to LIBERALS!! Oh! For simple minded FASCIST like you the definiation of the WORD Liberal? Did you ever actually LOOK it up???? LOL

"A Sense of Bitter Irony"

Apologies in advance for going slightly off topic here. But I just wanted to reflect on VP Cheney's interview with CNN recently.

I must say I find the VP to be a mass of weighty contradictions. Bullish about the war in Iraq and admonishing the country not to lose the "stomach" for the fight. Yet receving five deferrments when he himself was given the opportunity to show the "stomach" for the fight in Vietnam.

Two years ago the VP confidently predicted that the insurgency was in its "last throes." Yet since that confident prediction an average of 68 US troops have been killed every month in Iraq. The VP claims many great successes in terms of democracy in Iraq and the fight against terrorism. Yet the Iraq government draws support from a movement that has killed dozens of US troops. Indeed, given the opportunity to do so the Iraqi PM refused even to acknowledge Hezbollah as a terrorist group.

I could go on and on.

But I guess it is possible to turn any situation into a virtue. Sadly for the VP his bellicose rhetoric and predictions of success have too often been wide of the mark. Indeed, they have so wide of the mark that I wonder if he realises that his statements on Iraq are no longer credible.

If these were the comments of a political commentator, they might even be deemed to be mildly comical. But they are not. They are those of the VP, a man with considerable influence over the levers of executive power.

notblue, Barbaric Ideology??? *** over! Who were the idiots that befriended Sadaam in the first place? The U.S.! Before Gulf War I and before 2003 I don't remember seeing smoke plumes bellowing over the city. Sympathize with the Iraqis people? You bet your sweet behind I do. When a country comes, invades and occupies your homeland and starts creating chaos amongst the tribes, oh yeah, you bet I'd want nothing more than peace for my people. I feel sorrow and pity for the innocent Iraqi citizens who are killed in droves daily by this fighting all because of our occupation. It wasn't even a fraction of what it is now since King George decided to replay the Crusades. Barbaric ideology my behind. How many people are MURDERED in the U.S. every minute, and you sit here and tell me they have barbaric ideology, maybe we are the barbarians, but we call ourselves sophisticated, intelligent and civilized because we can't accept the fact that we are killers, rapists, thieves. Maybe if we actually observed other cultures and UNDERSTOOD their beliefs we'd be on a road to success as CIVILIZED PEOPLE instead of invading, occupying and causing chaos as we've done in Iraq. Unbelievable. I love it when American's call other people of nations barbaric, and yet we lead the world in capitol crimes.

Who is Holding the American Media Hostage?

America GET out of the Middle East quit selling them weapons, learn how to make Bio-Fuel or Clean-Coal Fuel and let the Middle East drink the oil and eat the sand! They cut the Oil off in the middle Seventies and we still have not gotten independent from Middle East Oil! Media quit covering these people in the Middle East let them blow each other up without our kids seeing it on the news! They still won't quit killing each other we just don't have to watch or make policy because of it. Who in American Media is forcing you to cover this violence in the Middle East? America has paid for the entire Middle East for the last Fifty Years in Lives, Blood and Tax Money and this investment has brought us the Chaos we have today. It is time to try something else! The Middle East has been fighting since the Sons of Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac were born. Americans come home and let the Middle East be Isolated! The entire place is not worth one more American Life or Dollar!

We are full of hope. We have no other choice but to use force and any place where we receive fire will not be safe even if it is a school, a mosque, a political party office or home."

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki

Now that's the attitude we are looking for!!!!!!
