Prime Minister Al-Maliki Vows No Letup Against Terrorism
- You will not get a withdraw, you will not stop the reinforcments and you will not get an impeachment or trial.
The Democrats lied to you so make sure you give your vote away to them in 08 again! - Reply to this comment
- There was some bitter irony in the first paragraph of this article:
"Iraq's prime minister insisted Thursday there will be "no safe place in Iraq for terrorists," hours before...two rockets slammed into the heavy fortified Green Zone not far from the U.S. Embassy."
Would this be the new uber-U.S. embassy in Iraq? The one with an esimated cost of $1,000,000,000 of U.S. tax dollars?

- It is truly horrific, what we have done to these people.
"Crowds of women and children frantically swarmed around the U.S. supply truck, pushing each other in the frenzy. Even fiercely proud Iraqi men begged for some of the blankets and kerosene heaters."
It looks like General Chaos and Major Failure got it all figured out now, though:
"By helping to meet people's most basic needs, like supplying gas heaters, the hope is the people will help U.S. soldiers keep the area secure, Lieutenant John Davis told Logan." - Reply to this comment

Throw in Duncan Hunter as the poster child for term limits and lack of courage when it comes to really supporting the troops. Hunter stood by and did nothing when Reagan raped and pillaged the military retiree.
Hunter has some 'skeletons' in his closet that will come out as a result of him throwing his 'hat' in the presidential ring.
He's as corrupt as Randy Cunningham, just not 'caught' yet. Check him out at www.sourcewatch.org. - Reply to this comment
- MEANWHILE, why we pour billions into this krap-hole known as Iraq, thanks to BUSH, to fund his little tirade, here is what *WE* lose;
Cancer Research Funds Slashed
President Bush is cutting federal funds for cancer research, and scientists are worried the lack of money will have an impact on treatment and finding a cure. Katie Couric reports. - Reply to this comment
Bush may be praying for the Dems to try to cut funding. Then he can say, "I had a plan and I tried to win this war but the Dems cut the funding for our troops. That's why we lost." Political suicide and history would be re-written by the neocons.
This is Bush's war and he seems absolutely determined to lose it. Let him finish sinking what's left of his Presidency. We can register our descent agains his policies but there's really not much more we can do short of impeaching him now.- Reply to this comment
- "The deputy commanding general of the Multi-National Corps in Iraq says the United States will go solo on a troop surge there. Canadian Major General Peter Devlin says none of the other 25 coalition partners is planning to increase troops."
Of COURSE we go it solo again, the other countries are SMART, they spend their money in THEIR country, not on a bunch of sand ngrs and camel humpers who HATE our guts and want us out!
We are the only IDIOTS who continue pouring billions into this krap-hole. - Reply to this comment
- Well, that's a bit silly of a thing to post ... for three reasons:
I fully understand what you are saying r-bayless; but two wrongs will not make a right... EVER! You are, of course correct in your point about the neocons NEVER admitting defeat. I'd be willing to bet that we would not have been any worse off had we just said, "WE're gonna come and TAKE YOUR OIL from you, before we invaded. - Reply to this comment
- If US forces leave Iraq tomorrow, Iraqis will find a way to get along with each other.
The ONLY reason they are fighting is because the US pays them to do so, or else pays them to stop. Either way, they get paid.
Time to stop wasting lives and money and stop listening to the doomsday prophets (Bush, Cheney, et al) who couldn't plan a successful campaign if the directions were written down in monosyllabic words. - Reply to this comment
