Good thing we are there to stop all this violence, maybe if we leave they will sort it out on their own without all the blood shed?
Posted by bluestardad at 03:19 PM : Jan 22, 2007

No, there will still be bloodshed, only a lot more of it. But you will never have to know about it, since the MSM won't cover it. Out-of-sight-out-of-mind. Liberals and the liberal media care nothing about the lives of innocent people. They do their "lip service" about human rights, but when it comes right down to it, they don't give a d-a-m-n.

There was a draft when i joined during Vietnam. Wasn't being drafted, just joined. There is no draft now, my daughter joined last year. I am very proud of our little ribbons, the 'National Service Award'. A medal issued for volunteering during a time of conflict. That is why folks like myself, Randal and others have the right to make the obversations pertaining to the cowardice of those in the current administration. Those who ran away and hid in places like the Air National Guard with the help of their rich and influential daddys.

Is your next move to attempt to discredit my opinions which are based on Iraq Vet GI testimony since I never served in the military? If there was a draft, I wouldn't 'dodge' it.

No! But the point is they didn't serve in Vietnam or Iraq either and really neither did I at the time I came home. Which means they have not served in Iraq...yet. And they won't have served there until after they get a chance to catch their breath and take a long serious look at what they went through and what they did and why. When you look back on what you thought said and believed at the time you laugh! They haven't digested the waste of what they've just been through yet! They can't! The sad part is that they will. Join. Join during a war. then you'll understand. It's not an insult to you. It's just a club you can't belong to or even understand the entrance exam.

Ran - Dal,

How many returning GIs have you personally spoken to about Iraq? any at all? if so, good work, likely not, so try to talk about something you have at least one iota of personal knowledge....keep up the 'I'm delusional-speak'...just reinforces your already weak position. Texans talk funny huh?

By the way, I'm a "returning troop" from Vietnam. Where have you returned from?
