In Speech To Nation, President Also Takes Responsibility For Past Strategic Mistakes

- Finally, your comparison of people opposing Bush to Neville Chamberlain is particularly maladroit.
Chamberlain's sin was the failure to stand up to a powerful nation trampling smaller countries underfoot. No one opposing Bush is guilty of that; in fact, the exact opposite holds. I know Bush supporters hate it when he gets compared to Hitler, but it only happens because the comparison is so apt. The main difference between them is that Hitler was an intelligent man.
Your stupidity and blind hate have landed you squarely on the wrong side, and you are making an increasingly laughable fool of yourself in your attempts to justify your impossible position. - Reply to this comment
- Also, Lieberman, your repeated slamming of liberal figureheads as a response to criticisms of Bush is childish, weak and shows only your inability to support your idle idol.
It's also pretty meaninless to those of us here (like me) who aren't particularly liberal. But I do have one quesition for you, regarding your quite original definition of "treason":
I'm not a big Kerry fan, as I think he has lost touch with the electorate and the principles he once stood firm by. However, John Kerry did his duty as an American and a patriot twice: once in volunteering for Viet Nam, and again for speaking his conscience when he came home. He was also multiply decorated, although I'm sure you'll try to find a way to besmirch that like all the other liars in the "Swiftboats For Truth" cabal, et al.
Bush, on the other hand, signed up for the Air National Guard to get out of any chance of being drafted, and then failed to fulfill his obligations even for that. This is called "desertion", and is in fact considered a treasonous act.
You really are confused. It's quite sad. Let me set you straight: the definition of treason is not "speaking your mind in a way some people don't like". It is not "criticizing the government". In fact, your abject boot-licking of the Bush administration, in the face of all evidence that they are corrupt and damaging the country, is moral treason. Kerry's actions were actually patriotic in a much greater sense than blind support of a wrong-headed war. - Reply to this comment

- Lieberman, it's possible you may work. However, you don't function, in any meaningful sense.
As I've mentioned before, with your eagerness to demonize an ethnic group on your government's say so, your happy support of a genocidal war, and your total lack of understanding of the meaning of fascism, you are a disgrace to Jews everywhere. Six million murdered souls will be waiting to kick you to Hell at the time of your long-overdue demise.
In fact, I suggest you have your foreskin surgically re-attached and see if you can get one of the fire & brimstone Fundamentalist Christian churches to let you sign up. They seem to have an open-door policy on hate-blinded morons.
You love to talk of people here being "fascists" and "goose-stepping". Allow me to remind you that the Nazis were in fact the blind followers of a dictator, not his opponents.
Of you go, now, back to your job at the crematorium. - Reply to this comment

Since you seem to know so much about proof, then prove these others don't work - "if you can".
Your logical fallacy is known as an Ad Ignorantium argument, a.k.a. Appeal to Ignorance. The fact that no proof is available or offered against a claim does not imply that the claim is true.
I would have thought that a being from the Upper Echelons of Deity such as Yourself would have taken a freshman course in logic sometime during Your Immortal Existence.

- The Tyrant continues to wage his own war! He does not listen to the American people and Congress is moving too slow. They say they will pass bills in THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS to stop Bush from sending more troops. What about the troops leaving for Iraq TODAY? The 3rd Infantry from Georgia are headed there NOW! He isn't wasting any time. He wants to get them over there before Congress passes the bills. Then he will be able to get funding for the ones who are over there, as Congress members and Nancy Pelosi have stated that "We will not withhold funding from troops currently in Iraq." They need to stop him NOW, before he increases the numbers to increase the wallet! It's all about Big Business; Keep us in Iraq and let the companies like Halliburton continue to make a fortune, in the name of RECONSTRUCTION. People need to Wake Up!

Makes me wonder if the Democrats decision not to impeach Bush could possibly have been part of an agreement with Lieberman to gain a majority in the senate. It would also help explain the huge support from republicans in the November election.

- More troops are going to Iraq. That is a good military solution. What about the replacement for Condeleezza Rice? We are waiting for a political solution to a political problem. Militaty solutions are for military problems, only. I can't understand how we replaced Don Rumsfield, and Gen. Abizaid for their results, when Condeleeza Rice keeps a job for her token performance! Another McNamara is sleeping in the State Department.

Interesting, but then, lets look at GW Bush's approach to finding Bin Laden.
GW Bush, March 13, 2002:
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
But the thing is, that 9/11 didn't happen while Clinton was President, it happened while GW Bush was President - and he doesn't care nor think it's a priority to hunt down Bin Laden.
GW Bush is just a moronic republican coward who can be bought and sold for money. - Reply to this comment

- This is just delaying the inevitable. "The Iraqi's are going to take control of their security by November." They've already proven that their army and police forces are too corrupt and infiltrated with insurgents. So come November, when security STILL isn't in place, Bush can blame Maliki. Then he'll ask for more troops and more time, saying a new leader in Iraq will need our help until he gets on his feet. That should carry Bush until the end of his presidency.
Thus it goes - on and on and on... - Reply to this comment
Bush needs more bodies. Let's see! Everyone who voted for this fool should go and serve. Now the problem is solved. We now have more than enough bodies to send to Iraq. And if anyone must die, let it be those who think like Bush and act like Bush. After all, you will be dying not for this country, but for the fool you follow blindly.- Reply to this comment

- nazi bozo aka i hate bush spews and vomits, but if confronted with reality he's just another left fascist coward who can't deal with it.
So, bozo, and any of your other like-minders here, please name one impeachable offense Bush committed. Now, don't name the obvious bs, the Halliburton thing, the WMDs (could be in Syria or Iran for all you - or we know), or oil. Give us facts. Because I am going to give you some why your heroes should face trial - and more.
Kennedy - for allowing a young girl to drown without lifting a finger to save her life. He also drove his once-beautiful wife to drink.
Carter - Because we MIGHT face a nuclear 9/11 courtesy of Iran, we should thank this coward and bigot. One, for betrayal of the Shah, two, for handwringing instead of acting resolute when our people were seized. But hey, diplomacy always works, doesn't it. Just tell that to Neville Chamberlain at Munich.
Clinton - for showing more attention to a fat bimbo than dealing forcefully with a threat. He was concerned about Arafat's feelings so he didn't go after Bin Laden. And for lying.
Kerry - for treason. Period.
Byrd - for being a member of a hate group, and never completely repudiating his ties. Don't hear you bozos asking him to step down, right.
So trials are indeed in order, clowns. Prove otherwise - if you can. - Reply to this comment

- As stated in the Guardian this morning:
"WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush's new approach to the Iraq war depends for success on another new approach, from an Iraqi leader who has failed U.S. expectations at every turn."
"Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has failed to deliver the unified government or additional troops he promised. And he's protected his own political footing at the expense of his American sponsors' goals."
I'm giving 5 to 1 that all we'll have to show for this error-opon-error is more caskets in 6 months. Any takers? - Reply to this comment
