"Never confuse our Soldiers courage and willingness to fight and die for our country without complaint".

I am not confused, you are.

The idea is to have the "other contries" soldiers die for "their country".

I am curious, why didn%u2019t you quote (copy-past) both sides of my equation?

%u201CNever confuse our Soldiers courage and willingness to fight and die for our country without complaint with being in favor of the totally unnecessary invasion of a sovereign country.%u201D

Could it be because it would show your response to be nonsensical? Or is it because you just didn%u2019t read it in its entirety? I wouldn%u2019t want to accuse you of nitpicking and twisting. Only a few of a certain kind have done that in the past 6 years.
As for other countries soldiers in Iraq, I%u2019m afraid coalition forces are the only ones there.

Hope this helps.

You all need to understand one thing. We are not fighting against a country. We are fighting against those people who don't care about region but only care about religion.Alqaeda not only have Middle Eastern people but white Americans like JOHN WALKER LINDH,ADAM GADAHN,etc. If Californian Adam Gadahn would attack USA by nukes,do you think we should attack California?

Sorry I was trying to be too rational there. But if as you suggest a "Middle East country could steal, buy, or otherwise aquire this device" and presumably detonate it (either directly or through proxies), then it would be an act of war on the US. Presumably, we would then declare war on that nation. But is that not obvious?

Like it or not, we have become the policeman of the world, We have a hard choice to make, come home, stick our heads in the sand, and get our as$es blown off, or keep small wars from becoming W W 3 and doomsday for everyone.

I think it was post 9/11 funk that basically meant that much of the country including: our media and elected official (of both parties) were unprepared to question anything. Not least because the administration made the point of treating dissent as lack of "patriotism."

We now see why our democracy is so great and why dissent is critical to its continued good health. We allowed ourselves to sleep-walk into disaster in Iraq and I think it unlikely (but not inconceivable) that such a thing will happen again.

I thought your question was from heetseeker not me.Well in that case we should punish all those RADICAL,PSYCHOTIC,BACKWARD and NON-SENSE CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES who had made American foreing policy of taking OIL in cheaper prices form Arabs and in return supporting their those enemies who were brought into PALESTINE after WWII to occupy the land of those PALESTINIANs by force who had nothing to do with the CRIMES comited by HITLER.All the problems of USA and her people goes back to the RADICAL BIBLE,CHRISTIANITY and an UNSEEN GOD who have taught GOD-NEGLECTED AMERICANS to make ultimate sacrifice of their GOD-NEGLECTED LIVES,MONEY and COUNTRY for the GOD CHSOEN ENEMIES OF the GOD'S ONLY SON.Also we should punish those who had let OSAMA BEEN-FORGOTTEN escape from TORA BORA and attacked IRAQ.Who had let NORTH KOREA built the NUKES while attacked IRAQ with no WMDs.We should get rid of PSYCHOSIS called CHRISTIANITY from our politics which has been proven flat wrong by IRAQ INVASION.The sole purpose of IRAQ invasion was to help the 2nd coming of CHRIST but ended up making ISLAMIC RADICALS so powerful like they were never before.

My question was posed on the presuption that the Middle East country could steal, buy, or otherwise aquire this device. For you to assume they can't do it because they did not develope one on their own, is wishfull thinking on your part.

"Hopefully" it would not come to that.

I "hope" too but "hopeing" does not work very well in the real world of today

I find it strange how many of us blame the president very strongly for the war, yet the American people are directly responsible for the war itself

Its our blood and our treasure thats being used up. But we leave the power and decisions in the hands of one man, who, even the most devout Bush supporter would hopefully agree now--is an abject failure when it comes to military matters.

The power of Bush to screw things up resulted from both the fact that American foreign policy is mostly driven by fear today--"if we don't do something teh world going to end..."

And American intransigence to get personally involved in their government.

As such we're headed towards a strange-new kind of dictatorship.

thgdriver says:
"I agree with you, and when it comes in the form of a small nuclear device in downtown (insert any large american city here) what say you then, if proved, Middle East in origin?"

Hopefully it would not come to that. As we understand it, within the middle east only our ally Israel has nuclear weapons. It is therefore highly unlikely that either the weapon or technology would have been acquired from there.

Clearly then we would need to find the "third" party responsible for passing on the technology. In my view, any nation passing on or facilitating the transfer of such technology is not only a state sponsor of terrorism, but in my view would have declared war on the United States.

As the Taliban discovered, waging a "proxy" war against another sovereign nation will bring swift retribution.

You posed more questions but you did not "answer any".

My question to heetseeker still stands, you can read it again and answer it, I am waiting.
