I can't figure out how anyone could be duped into fighting for freedom for muslims while we don't even have freedom or fair elections in our own country. We have decimated Iraq in a bid to set up a democracy and that actually was our most laudable intention. The oil thing and perhaps personal revenge were the true impetus for this disaster. The Iraqi's had stability under Saddam despite his despotism and now all they have is daily desperation to stay alive. Iraq is in horrible upheaval because a profligate and spoiled American whose only claim to fame was name recognition was allowed into the White House.
