Former Iraqi Dictator Hanged; U.S. Forces On High Alert For Surge In Violence
- RE: "As his time waned, Saddam received two of his half brothers in his cell and was said to have given them his personal belongings and a copy of his will."
I heard he left his g*o*n*a*d*s to Bush.
Now maybe Dubya won't have to hide in a Sherman Tank every time there's a cloudburst in Texas. - Reply to this comment
- RE: "Was our president at the hanging an if not why."
No, but I understand from my private sources that he called Saddam Hussein yesterday morning.
"Yo, Saddam. What you up to today ?" asked Bush.
"Oh nothing, just hangin'..." replied Saddam. - Reply to this comment

Bare in mind that there are many in this country and abroad who see George W Bush as a "democratically elected religious radical" - Reply to this comment
- Was our president at the hanging an if not why.
If he was I think that was Leader-ship, on his part, An also for those Women& men still at war, an also for the fallen an hurt in combat. An let's don't forget there family's.I think that if the president didn't show up for this after we have spent all this money to find this man. And sent all these troops in to battle i think he is a sad soul. - Reply to this comment
- "A SECULAR DICTATOR is much better then a DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED RELIGIOUS RADICAL"

- Whoever helps CHRISTIANS will be killed by CHRISTIANS just like SADDAM and whoever will fight against CHRISTIANS will be given power by CHRISTIANS just like RADICAL ISLAMIST MALIKI.
It's another example of CHRISTIANITY PSYCHOSIS.The whole world knows that CHRISTIAN PSYCHOTICs sacrifice their GOD NEGLECTED MONEY,LIVES and COUNTRY for those GOD-CHOSEN ENEMIES of the GOD'S ONLY SON who deny JESUS to be MESSIAH and SON OF GOD and accuse her of comiting FORNICATION by denying her VIRGINITY.Execution of SADDAM for the crime of being good to CHRISTIANS and to fight against ISLAMIC RADICALISM for their HATRED against Christians is just the continuation of that PSYCHOSIS on the basis of which United States support and protect the GOD CHOSEN ENEMIES of the GOD'S ONLY SON on the cost of GOD-NEGLECTED AMERICAN LIVES,MONEY and USA herself. - Reply to this comment
- RE: "The door is still open for every person who does not have the blood of innocents on his hands" - Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
That means the door is closed to Bush and Cheney. - Reply to this comment
- SADDAM HUSSAIN got what he deserved.CHRISTIANITY is PSYCHOSIS and CHRISTIANS are the worst PSYCHOTICS.
His unforgiveable crime was to make a CHRISTIAN named TARIQ AZIZ a FORIENG MINISTER of his country. He was bad for majority of IRAQIs except IRAQI CHRISTIANS.Saddam's execution has great example for the whole world.
Saddam had killed his own people because they wanted to establish an EXTREMIST ISLAMIC EMPIRE based on the HATRED of so called INFIDELS.When it came to right and wrong,Saddam never cared who is his own and who is not.He was against the ideology of hatred against people on the basis of worshiping a diffferent GOD or the same GOD in different way.He had fought against those IRANIANS for a decade whose AYATOLLAHs had waged war against UNITED STATES and called USA "THE GREATEST SATAN".
The CHRISTIAN PSYCHOTICS under BUSH have executed SADDAM for fighting their war and brought a RADICAL ISLAMIST SHIA named MALIKI into power and are giving him MONEY and WEAPONS to kill AMERICAN TROOPS in IRAQ.
Don't forget,an UNSEEN GOD CHRISTIANS believe has NEGLECTED those who believe in his so called son as MESSIAH and believe in the VIRGINITY of JESUS' mother and CHOSEN those enemies of his ONLY SON who deny his son as MESSSIAH and accuse his mother of comiting FORNICATION by denying her VIRGINITY.It's not surprising to see what that PSYCHOTIC GOD's worshipers are doing. - Reply to this comment
- yes he may have murdered but for all those who rejoiced over his execution they just exalted murder themselves...for any act of killing is murder...thou shalt not kill meant thou shalt not kill i dont believe i read that anyone and i do mean anyone was exempt for that...and anyone that could glorify that in their hearts is not of GOD...it isnt for man to judge it was for GOD...yet man took it on themselves to be the judge and jury...even in their hearts...even those that watched or heard and glorified it in their hearts well that is not of GOD...seems to be a whole lot of people playing GOD lately...love your enemy meant love your enemy...two wrongs do not make a right

- Just out of curiosity, do any of my fellow bloggers think that the US bares some responsibility for Saddam's muderous reign of tyranny in Iraq? Afterall, given the manner in which he can to power (executing his political rivals without even so much as a trial) we knew that he was a ruthless killer.
Yet we sent Donald Rumsfeld to Baghdad to supply weapons (including WMD), maps and other logistical support to wage a pre-emptive and unprovoked war against Iran.
Is Saddam not our monster? Did not create him? If so have we not helped to facilitate and enable his genocides? No wonder, the US is not benefitting from popular support in Iraq or the wider world our hipocrisy and double-speak is an offense. - Reply to this comment
- Saddam got what he gave.....except he was guilty of crimes and his victims were not.

How about a sitcom. "Saddam in Hell" .
Saddam had horrific tortures for his enemies. Let's hope the real Devil is even more clever.
Every week the show... you get the idea.- Reply to this comment
- He was a very evil person, now in Hell.

Nevermind that. As another poster pondered, imagine the look on Saddam's face when HE finds out?!

- I wonder what the reaction to Saddam's death will be here in the US. It is interesting how everytime a blue riband milestone is reached (capture of Saddam, democratic elections, constitutional referendum) the President's rating for "handling of the war" picks up a little.
Perfect news at a time when the President is preparing to deliver a hammer blow to the American people. Yet more troops and many more billions sent to be sent to Iraq. No deadline for US troop withdrawal and no milestones to be met by the Iraq government for continued US support.
Have you read the President's written response to the execution of Saddam? If you are looking for comfort, look away now. The rhetoric and bluster is reminiscent of the bad old days of "stay the course." Indeed the President underlines the continued commitment of the US to an Iraq that can "govern itself, sustain itself, defend itself & can be an ally in the war on terror."
Achieving that objective will require many thousands more American lives and billions of tax-payers dollars. Do not kid yourself otherwise. - Reply to this comment
- emtak1,
I feel that both "major" U.S. political parties have failed us miserably, and are corrupted beyond repair. I am encouraged to see more and more people who consider themselves to be "independents".
Thanks for the dialogue. Post often.
Good night.

- To summarize, support for the Bush regime's abominable performance in Iraq has been quantified as:
-5% among Iraqis (UPI)
-35% among U.S. military members (armytimes.com)
Along with:
-28% of Americans (CNN)
As can be expected, support from the rapidly shrinking, flag-wrapping, goose-stepping, blood-thirsty-eunuch demographic, remains at a whopping 110%!!! (common knowledge) - Reply to this comment
