Do these alleged words from Hussein seem believable? Would he say such generous things about a country that invaded his nation, ran him out of power, and now has a role in killing him?

Then I guess the King James Version of the Bible must be wrong.

Isaiah 45:7 - "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

SharnCedar said, "... Similarily, acts of unkindness or evil don't exist. They are the empty spaces between the good things. All of creation is good, all of life is good... The creator is good, and only good."

Christians believe in a good Creator, and have that based on scriptural authority. Yet, traditional Christians also acknowledge evil, the same fallen being and his works mentioned abundantly in the New Testament. These are ultimately of no consequence to salvation of the faithful, but to pretend the human experience of pain, sorrow, loss and hatred are but a semantic finesse of divine goodness denies the Incarnation, Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. Humanity cannot be redemmed from what does not exist, can it?

Titocordero,
hey Donkey! U now wanna prevent people from speaking out? This is the freedom of speech you are defending. Just speaking from the Bible is a good speech? Shut the f*u*c*k-up, donkey, shut it up. Deep-dumm minded like you are quite numerous, but we see them more and more as big hypocrites: Ted Haggard (hugghard), and Paul Barnes, two famous top church leaders. Follow them and you may have your share of Molestation not to say sodomisation, unless you consent and agree on it.

Here is a copy-paste from wikipedia regarding Mark Foley:
Foley%u2019s attorney David Roth told reporters that Foley is, in fact, gay and that, between the ages of 13 and 15, he was sexually abused by a clergyman.

This makes patriotic9 right about his claims and he needs to say it many times before people get to know about that fact... church depraved clergymen...

What a freaking load of hippie cr*p.

You should try explaining your philosophy to victims of "unkindness and evil" - perhaps tell them that they weren't victims of "unkindness and evil", just an "empty" space.

You could start with victims of sexual abuse, perhaps move on to victims of other serious crimes including murder, mass murders, genocides etc.

The fact is that evil does exist and it exists in each and every single one of us - whether you care to admit it.

God is fully aware that evil exists - why aren't you?

Awesome, SharnCedar. Absolutely awesome. You lost your train of thought but maybe some of us will pick it up and carry it forward.

"But he [God] is somewhere in this universe and he made his mistake in creating us!"

I totally disagree. The only things that exist are the good things; everything else is mental speculation. For example, you can say "I have $1000" or you can say "I don't have $2000". the first is a fact, the second is a speculation, based on mental imagination about what might be or what might have been. These mental imaginations don't exist. Similarily, acts of unkindness or evil don't exist. They are the empty spaces between the good things. All of creation is good, all of life is good, the sorrow and the tears are as sweet as the laughter and the joy. Would you exchange your day of greatest sorrow? Were you not also uniquely alive at that moment, fufilling the fullness of your existence. Life is good. The creator is good, and only good.

We can strive for less empty space between the good, we can create more life for all with positive acts and beliefs and courage.

Something like that, I lost the train of thought.

It is a mistake to execute him. He certainly deserves much worse but I really think it is another error, on a par with disbanding the army. It also makes it easy to point to the US as hypocrites when we complain about Arabs committing atrocities, they will point to this and say what is the difference? It makes a lie of all the claims about all the religions, christianity and islam. both claim to be religions of peace and both are once again bloodthirsty and loving it. I could go on for awhile but I am convinced it is a mistake as I was convinced it was a mistake to invade Iraq to begin with. And therefore I have great confidence that Bush will do exactly that.

If all the GOD's believers start thinking like you, this world would ba such a beautiful place.I myself don't believe in GOD as I have seen people comiting murders and atroicities on the name of GOD like they can't do for any other reason and GOD can't come infront of the people and tell them that this guy is a liar,I never commanded him to do those atrocities. In India,Hindus and Muslims fight against each other because in HINDU RELIGION,COW is one of thier GODs and MUSLIMS eat COW.When a muslim slaughter a COW,fight breaks up and hundreds of people get killed on both sides on a freaking cow.Whenever two groups fight against each other on the name of a RELIGION,there is always a third party enjoying FINANCIAL ADVANTAGE.I don't have problem in people beliveing in GOD or worshiping in any way they like to worship as long as they don't use it for killing other human beings or controling other group of human beings or denying rights of aother human beings. It's really nice talking to you.If I said anything which made you offended,I am sorry about that but I am really sad to see whatever is going on inthe world in the name of RELIGIONS.

After all ... this world is heading for dooms day at the rate we're going, it's only which direction we choose again for our lives, good or bad.
So ....KYGAL .... God is not perfect!
But he is somewhere in this universe and he made his mistake in creating us!
THat one ... as agian predicted ... he will again end the world ... with what "Fire" in revelations.
And take those only who deserve to go to heaven!
So people ... be good and don't hate the person beside you, just try to be peaceful in this life we have for now and try to live decently.

notblue said, "The left wing fascists in this country know no bounds... It's hard to win a war when a good number of the enemy lives in our backyard"

---
First, define your terms properly, then try to make your argument-- it works better, that way. Fascism is defined as "a system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with a belligerent nationalism." (The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language)

Espousing right-wing neocon, fascist drivel, Bush brought the American political system to a historic low, fulfilling certain important parameters of a Fascist state-- (1) with one-party control of all three branches of government, Bush systematically isolated and excluded the loyal opposition in everything from congressional committees to gerrymandering electoral districts, obtaining rubber-stamped approval from federal courts (2) fostering an unparalleled, unprecedented relaxation-- no, defiance-- of the rule of law, periodically erupting in criminal prosecutions as scandal emerged

Let's Call Them Fascists, No Matter Who They Are-- 2
(3) granting immunity and green light to Bush leaning co-conspirators like Halliburton, KBR, Bechtel, Unisys and other corporate criminals to feed like hogs with no oversight at the public trough, and then defending their criminal misconduct, fraud and theft of public monies with rear-guard actions to avoid public exposure and prosecution (4) silencing scientists and public servants who warned America with information about everything from global warming to governmental corruption (5) making the United States of America an international pariah, a shameless spectacle among nations for having violated its own principles of law, justice and humanity (6) not content with loss of honor and loss of credibility, Bush made the United States of America into a global bully and unilateralist equal to Louis XIV ("I am the state!") , or more aptly, King George III, with lies about why he invaded Iraq and more lies from about why we must stay there.

Second, shouting about how everyone who disagrees with you is a traitor only advertises how (1) ignorant (2) desperate and (3) belligerent some red posters have become, lacking any basis for making their own point of view coherent or persuasive. Children whose social skills break down in the sandbox begin whining, screaming and throwing mud.

Let's Call Them Fascists, No Matter Who They Are-- 3
And pursuing that point, how interesting that Hitler's favorite pasttime with the good German people was his shouted and screamed radio rants-- even louder than Fox debutantes O'Reilly, Hannity and Limbaugh, but with the same self-entranced certainty. Bush faithful simply love that OldTime GOP Gospel, a revivalesque deep cleansing by sweeping tides of hatred and paranoia, alternating with geysers of self-justification. It is a tribal thing, of course, often held in the aptly named "Rushroom".

Did someone mention "winning"? Since when was anyone but Bush talking about winning his monstrous $354 billion scam on the American people known as Iraq, with 3,000 additional American dead for nothing remotely connected to 911. Even our military commanders are finally discovering the testicular fortitude to tell the truth. Our line troops in Iraq are widely disaffected with the war, and no-- these troops do not "volunteer for Baghdad"-- their units are assigned, or rotated in.

Finally, even arch-conservative icons are taking pains to distance themselves from the amoral Wannabe in the Oval Office who called the American Constitution a "GD*&&##! piece of paper!" Yes, even those calling themselves "neocons" are frothing a bit as they explain how Bush perverted their splendid vision of a New American Century.

Do you actually believe God is perfect? I don't ... I am a christian and I do believe in god but I do not think he is perfect.
Cause ... if he was perfect, he would not have flooded the world in the first place to clear up his mistakes which he so called gave human to think right or wrong.
He knew it was gonna be in that manner but did not realised his own mistake in giving us that freedom to choose.
If he was perfect, he should have made it right in the first place and all this would not hae happened and his beloved son too did not have to sacrificed on the cross to make human to change.

I highly appreciate you involving in an intellectual conversation. It's great that you picked up my spelling and punctuation mistakes.I acknowlege them, apppreciate your kindness to tell me about them eventhough my spelling and punctuation mistakes don't cause deaths and destruction to the humanity in general and USA specifically.I wish one day people like you pick up the mistakes of those enemies of USA who want to make US foreing and internal policies on the basis of thousands of years old,NON-SENSE,BASE LESS,ANTI-WOMEN,ANTI-GAY,ANTI UNITED STATES,ANTI AMERICAN BIBLE which has caused deaths of thousands of Americans on 9/11 and tens of thousands of US soldiers in IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN.Would you please pick up the ANTI-US IDEOLOGY of those RADICAL CHRISTIANS who consider USA as an UNHOLY LAND and ISRAEL which causes HATRED,TERRORISM and 9/11 against the people of USA a HOLY LAND.Who consider AMERICANS as GOD-NEGLECTED and the NON-AMERICANS who don't live in USA,don't pay tax to the govt, cause HATRED against USA as GOD-CHOSEN eventhough they are the enemies of GOD'S ONLY SON.I hope you'll also pICk up the animosity of those RADICALS who had let OSAMA BEEN-FORGOTTEN escape from TORA BORA and attacked IRAQ to kill all the IRAQIs and displaeced them from their lands just like PALESTINIANS were killed and displaced form their land to help the second coming of CHRIST.I hope you'll do that and'll show that you believe in LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL.

To answer your question: No, God has no race, color, or creed. God is ALL. God didn't do all of these things you are describing, people did. God is perfect, people are not. God made people to think and act for themselves, whether they worship or deny him. Just as your parents made you. And yes, it is unfortunate to see children molested by anyone, anywhere. And the person doing the molesting, or any other hateful disgusting act, will have alot to answer for, that I promise you.

It's very unfortunate to see BOYS to get molested by the hands of those GOD-LOVING,RELIGIOUS,HOLY people who preach against those ADULT males or females who want to have HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONSHIP.Republican FOLEY was one of those people who had voted against GAY MARRIAGE and himself was harassing boys on internet.Bill O'rielly is the one who preaches MORAL VALUES on TV more then anybody else and himself was sexually harassing a female at work and then he gave her $10 millions to keep her mouth shut. When our GOD-LOVING MORALLY STRONG individuals are involved in such type of actions,do we have right to invade a foreing country on the name of liberating their people from OPPRESSION and INJUSTICE specially when that foreing country is in MIDDLE EAST where everybody knows how strongly RADICAL CHRISTIANS from US govt support the killing and occupation of PALESTINIAN PEOPLE and their LAND because of the UNJUST and RACIST IDEOLOGY of people not being treated on the basis of their actions but being treated as GOD-CHOSEN or GOD-NEGLECTED on the basis of the RACE or FAMILY they are born in.I am gonna ask the same question my Canadian freinds ask me,Is GOD really an AMERICAN?

So, at what age did you learn that Santa Clause is a fictional character? It obviously scarred you for life.
And it's not your fault you were never taught how to spell, punctuate, or make sense.

You are contradicting your self.An Athiest and a BIGOT?Don't you know that all the BIGOTARIES are founded on the basis of RELIGIONS.More people have been killed on the issue of whose GOD is right and whose GOD is wrong then any other reason.More people have been discriminated on the basis of their RACE,SEXUAL ORIENTATION and GENDER by the hands of RELIGIOUS GOD LOVING HUMAN HATING PEOPLE then any other group of people. Are you gonna deny these facts. If you think that Americans are supposed to be only NARROW-MINDED BIBLE READING BOYS' MOLESTING,HUMAN HATING,MURDEROUS GOD-LOVING COWBOYS adn you deny me being an American because of being an OPEN-MINDED,HUMAN LOVING, GOD HATING INDIVIDUAL,you ain't seen no'n yet.
