Al-Maliki Says Iraqi Forces Will Be 'Fully Ready' By June, But Bush Rejects Talk Of A Timetable
Something I don't hear mentioned is whether the Invasion of Iraq is largely about securing US access to world oil reserves in the face of decreasing suplies and increasing inernational competition for these resources. Was this seen as a way for the US to insure it's power and influence in the world as more and more nations get nukes and countries like China and India come into prominance? Or is this just what substitutes for sound energy policy in the eyes of neocons?- Reply to this comment

- We were actually supposed to attack Iran to fight Islamic Radicalism, but we did just opposite. We attacked Iraq which herself was fighting against Islamic Radicalism.Saddam had killed so many of his own people who wanted to establish an extremist Islamic state. As I said before,a stable Iraq ruled under an Islamic govt will be worse for us then a Chaotic Iraq.I think we need to redeploy most of our soldiers to Iran to stop their plan of 2nd coming of Imam Mehdi. While doin that we need to make sure that we don't comit the same mistakes we did in Iraq. This is a new era of unconventional warfare. These types of wars are not really fought by the govt but by the people who have religious authority. When we attacked Iraq, our main concern was the capital city of Baghdad but we found and still have to face most of the resistance in Al Anbar province which is the hot bed of insurgency and the factory of suicide bombers. If we attack Iran we'll have to concentrate more on cities like QOM which will be the real places for the production of suicide bombers then cities like the capital tehran.Once we be able to stop their plan which they've already started executing, then we can shift our concentration on sunnis but in the mean time shouldn't forget sunni insurgents either.

- We will pull out either today or tomorrow when just like Nam we get tired and relize that this is for fools. Then the real fun will start the first thing genocide. Of course the Saudi's will not allow this to happen because it will be the Sunni's so they will jump in then of course will come Iran and everyone else. Let's throw in Israel for a little fun. What does everyone think wouldn't this be great let's get the hell out now while we still can.

The killing of a Christian leader in the Lebanon seems to be the first step for executing the plan of second coming of the HIDDEN IMAM MEHDI.That's why Sadr militia in IRAQ is called MEHDI ARMY.I am sorry to say that I don't find a single person in th BUSH ADMINISTRATION who understands these facts about Middle East. The Middle East experst who give them advises just waste their time in telling about how one thousand four hundred years ago,the dispute about Ali's caliphate lead to the formation of SHIA and SUNNI SECTS in Islam. If any body has some contact with the people on the govt level.I humbly request you to advise the govt people to keep these important facts in their mind before making any next desicion about the MIDDLE EAST.I'll be very grateful for your this kindness.

You are absolutely right.Same thing with Maliki and Ahmedenijad from Iran.We need to look at what is good in American intrests. One problem we are facing in UNITED STATES is that UNITED STATES is a country of SPECIALIST PEOPLE and SPECIALIST is a person who knows too much about too little. We need to bring changes to our schools and education system and let our kids inform about other cultures and languages. If we don't do that and those kids become politicians in the future, they'll screw up the country just like people in the BUSH administration are doing. We need to extend the level of our intrests more then BEER,BASE BALL and BREAST. - Reply to this comment

What is victory in Iraq? What does it look like? The President won't say. What do you say?
Victory is having a stable elected (think legitimate) gov that governs all of Iq with no warlords
We can allow the Iq handle there own internal security, ultimately handle there own national defense.

- I don't think there is anybody in the BUSH Administration who can understand these facts and keep them in his mind before coming to any conclusion or decision about the MIDDLE EAST.
