Attacks Up 22% During Ramadan Despite U.S.-Iraqi Efforts
- Hey clestes----i think you are describing democrat---that would not be me. Democrats are the ones who don't read or listen to this news----or vote. Where have you been? If that is not the pot calling the kettle black---i don't know what is!

- HEY OSIDEOBEAR---why don't you just ask me instead of wondering, duh? My flavor of Kool-aid, is....REPUBLICAN and Gawd it is GOOD!

- CLESTES----your HATE CAMPAIGN against our President is "like THROWING GASOLINE ON THE FIRE---IT IS NOT HELPING, IT IS MAKING MATTERS WORSE" and frankly, i would rather have all the dead people in Iraq----than I would a few million Americans---which is what would have happend if Sadaam was allowed to stay in power and obtain his WMD's. I hate to say it, but when push comes to shove it had to be one or the other. I would opt for the other. And okay, so I was dumb at one time in my life----like when the democratic politics had me so brainwashed that I voted for Al Gore (which who is also by the way----A QUITTER---he let me down when I was out on the streets in Broward, Cty Florida---protesting the vote---that SOB waived a white flag before the fight was even over---Gawd was I pissed at him). Anyway, i guess things always work out for the best---we can't always get what we want. I mean, i voted for Al Gore---but THANK GOD, Bush ended up being the President! So, I have already been where you are--hanging out with losers like the Democrats. Oh, little mind---by the way---I come from a long line of military personnel. Both my grandfathers, and every single one of my uncles have fought wars for America---so darling, my male family members have already done their fare share of fighting for this country. Me and my family, BY NO MEANS, are new to this stuff!!!!! Now, which one of your family members DO YOU WANT TO GIVE UP TO THE TERRORISTS????????????????

- Are there any holy days in Islam allocated to peace? It seems they celebrate all their religious holidays with violence.

- What have you been reading lately that would lead you to think that anything other than chaos and civil war is now happening in Iraq?
Or don't you read, maybe you are one of those devout Bushies that close their eyes and ears to the truth and believe all is well because Cheney, who is a proven liar, says so. - Reply to this comment
- Just wondering what the flavor of laurieleemoo's Kool-Aide is....

- laurieleemoo, our being in Iraq is like throwing gasoline on a fire. IT IS NOT HELPING, IT IS MAKING IT WORSE. What the hell are you going to call victory?? 1 million civilians dead, 5000 US soldiers dead and 10,0000 Iraqi soldiers dead?? Because that is where this is headed. Haven't you realized that by now.
You still don't get it. We don't have any business being in Iraq in the first place. Osama Bin Laden had NOTHING TO DO WITH IRAQ. Don't you read or are you so dumb you believe everything Rush says without bothering to check facts.
An attempt to influence elections?? These attacks have been going on for 3 1/2 years and getting steadily worse! It is no great surprise to anyone who has been listening to the news that joint US/Iraqi efforts are failing. Operation Together Forward would be better named Together Lost.
They have been failing all along this sorry journey. Only before the constantly deteriorating situation was covered up in political BS about "freedom is on the march" or "progress is being made" or some other lies.
Is it only now that people are finally waking up to the fact the Iraq is a quagmire, has been a quagmire from the first and the sooner we get the hell out the better the situation will be.
If you think we should remain there why don't you volunteer one of the males in your family to go fight? - Reply to this comment
- Bush has been mouthing off for weeks about crushing Sadr's Mahdi Army and demanding that al-Maliki get tough with that militia. Two days ago The American forces get lucky and capture a top al-Sadr organizer, Mazin al-Sa'ed. Maliki says "al-Sadr ordered me to release Mazin right away, Mr Bush" and Mr. Bush responds, "Anthing al-Sadr wants! Should I kiss his feet, too?" "No, you have already kissed his behind, and that will do." What a fearless leader we have, like when the Spaniard impounded the Scuds on the North korea ship bound for Yemen in 2002 and Bush said, "Well they paid for them. They can keep them."

- osideobear---oh says who?......your liberal leaders? Actually, they did prove that Sadaam met with a top al-qaida leader who who ended up being in Iraq. How did he get there----and who invited him---Oh right---I guess it was all a figment of our imagination and he was not really there---even thought we just killed him IN IRAQ. So come again- how are al-qaida and IRAQ not related?????

- No---tejasdemo---you have that so backwards----WE WOULD BE RUNNING FOR BOMBSHELTERS----if you were president----'cause then that would mean that Sadaam would have his WMD's for sure---'cause you would not have stopped him would you have? God, i just llove the liberal spin on things!

- And by the way, laurieleemoo, just so YOU know. Osama bin Laden and 9/11 had nothing to do with Iraq and Saddam Hussein. Even your beloved President Bush has, belatedly, admitted that.

- osideobear---i think you have that wrong----because when all else fails all YOU DO IS BLAME BUSH. This is so funny that you people actually think you can say whatever you want---yet if someone sticks up for our president you CAN'T HANDLE IT!!!!!!

- hey jeasdemo -----You have just figured that out???? Just now, with all I have said for the past few days---and I know you've been there---I've seen you everyday---so this can not be anything new to you----THAT I AM HIGHLY UPSET at what you liberals who also happen to be PATHETIC EXCUSES FOR AN AMERICAN. However, at least I am not a MISERABLE DEMOCRAT.

- Quote: Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell said it may be an attempt to influence the U.S. elections, reports CBS News correspondent Cami McCormick (audio). End Quote. I hate it when military personnel say things like that - they're not only entering the political arena, they are admitting they failed to consider the possibility in advance, did not plan for it, and inadequately reacted to its becoming a reality. Mission planning that does not include "worst case scenarios" is an example of the "Rum-think" that got us into this mess.

- oh osideobear----just so you know----Osama Bin Laden started this whole thing and he started planning it on Clintons watch----before GW was ever even imagining becoming president. Osama Bin Laden takes 5 years to plan his attacks--that means he was planning the 9/11 attack while Clinton was in office. So.....what did Clinton do to provoke this attack. Obviously you idiots like to blame the american president---why not blame Clinton then. Oh and what would have been your GRAND PLAN in dealing with Sadaam Hussein. You obviously have a better idea---since all you can do is complain

- You just always seem so upset all the time Lauriemoo. George W. Bush and the repubs got us into Iraq. You know it and I guess you just cant figure out a way around it. Maybe that's why you are so angry. Good thing you are not running foreign policy. We'd all be scramblin for the bomb shelters, right ?

- oh and the respect thing----well guess what, I look at all you people as the "Baby Jane's" of the world (Jane Fonda). That shows you how much respect I have for you!!!!!
