Two of the people that he supervised that day never came back to work. They were dispatching for the two United planes that had been taken over. All three of them had to hear what went on in the flight decks of the two hijacked planes. Who are we to judge?

Do these people honestly believe they sre better qualified (without even seeing this guy) than the THREE Doctors who diagnosed him with PTSD???

Of course he quit his job; he didn't want to be there if anything like it happened again. He didn't want to expose himself to the responsibility and sense of failure.

I have no doubt he suffers daily from PTSD and unfortunately there is probably very little financial help for him. He is another casualty from that Tuesday Morning.

Sorry, but I think there are thousands of people who still can't hear a screaming jet overhead without remembering that day, can't look at a clear blue sky without remembering that day, I mean thousands of us still suffer the effects, the sorrow, albeit not constantly, but enough. I agree with the posters above, this doesn't seem to be all about 9/11 for this man.

He is a very poor actor, at best.

He has suffered loss of wages because HE QUIT his job. Opened a business... and it failed. He suffered bankruptcy because HE filed for it... That's not PTSD. That's a risk that turned out to be a bad one.

I really hate to say this but it sounds like another whiner looking for a free handout.

I agree with the ruling. I think this man is trying to blame his problems on 9/11 when it isn't justified. He seems a bit egotistical when he says he alone was responsible for the planes coming back. He wasn't. He had a staff. Why is he the only one of the flight controllers on his shift that day claimng PTSD?

I think this guy needs to suck it up and get on with his life and take responsibility for his own career failures.

He doesn't have a 9/11 related problem.
