Where did all the trickle down from all those years, 2003, 2004, 2005, etc, end up? Have not corporate profits been doing very well in this poor economy?

If he's so powerful, why then Ron Paul is not the GOP first option? He also advocates for a small government.

What's the problem Grover? There are only three steps necessary to shrinking the government to the size it was in 1900:
Detach the Social Security Administration from the federal budget. keeping it safe from Presidents eager to unilaterally wage war, using the SS trust fund as a Quicken Loan, never paying it back let alone interest on the loan that is promised but never delivered..
The U.S. Navy had no aircraft carriers in 1900 and they won't fit into the bath tub anyway so we'll sell them off to the highest bidder. That will also take care of the expense of maintaining the second largest air force in the world.
The U.S. had no Air Force in 1900 so we'll decommission the US Air Force and turn the planes over to the states to use in their militias to protect us from intruders.
The US Army was a shadow of todays army so we'll shrink it down to size (I'm sorry but you're going to have to share your bath tub with a few soldiers). The remaining soldiers will be sent home to to serve as militiamen for their state.
This should take care of the defense department. The combination of privatizing the Social Security Administrateion and the money saved from shrinking our military should put our budget on par with what existed at the turn of the last century. Good luck with the politicians who signed the pledge and have military bases in their districts.

Mr. Norquist's comment on how Americans have been fighting taxes since the Boston tea party is an interesting twist on history.

The Boston Tea Party was not a protest over higher taxes, the Tea Act of 1773 had actually reduced tea costs. It was all about the colonists having a voice in government. "No taxation without representation" was Sam Adams and the Whig party's war cry, and it was all about the extent of Parliament's authority, if any, over the British American colonies without seating any elected representation.

Both he, and the modern day tea party movement, have every right to bemoan high taxes, but when they say they are carrying on the ideals that our forefathers stood for... well, that's more than a stretch. Perhaps they should have paid a little closer attention in grade school history class.

Ah! Someone else who noticed the difference between the 'taxation without representation' basis of the original Boston Tea Party and the 'taxes are too high' basis of the modern day Tea Party movement.

Good for you!

Now America sees why Congress is gridlocked by the Republicans. This is absurd. No tax increase NO MATTER What. This spells disaster! Do people really understand what this means. The GOP is afraid of this man who appears to be their "pastor." Look at these powerful people holding our country hostage for the benefit of the 1%. Look at what this man is doing and advocating with the help of the GOP. With this kind of thing happening, no wonder the average citizen doesn't stand a chance and why people like him pit us against one another in re race, class, etc. Remember the scriptures, the lust of money is the root of ALL evil. Will real Christians stand up against such men and ideas???

Just remember that both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have signed this contract. No matter what happens in the next 4 years they are committed to NO TAXES, NO WAY, NO HOW. Even if the economy goes south again. No Taxes

God's Speed Grover Norquist! You are truly a descendant angel from our forefathers. Please also push for an end to the capital gains tax on gold based currency. Many would love to use Peter Schiff's Gold based bank, and if you can introduce gold as an alternative currency, this would encourage saving again. PLEASE make that possible! We the people love you!!
