A recovery happens when people have jobs to pay their bills, and even prosperity.
The next time a politician talks of "economy" and "prosperity" - ask them if they mean Main Street or Wall Street. Many of them make you infer the former when they are clearly for the latter, at the former's expense (subsidy, bailouts, etc, in return for creating the conditions that hurt Main Street.)
