I was shocked to learn that Roberts was the saving vote. And I'm pretty happy to see Boehner hot under the collar this morning. His comment about pulling "Obamacare" (I am loathed to use that term) out by the roots once again proved the Right's interest in only doing what's best for the wealthiest Americans. They surely know that this is one more step toward a single payer system. If it were not, they'd be right on-board with this legislation, as it will be a windfall to the for-profit health insurers in the short-term. Of course those big conservative donors will disappear when we have universal healthcare. And while we may be agonizingly slow, we WILL have universal healthcare eventually, because there will come a time when the majority will realize that it is inhumane to allow people to go bankrupt or die because of the cost of care.

Roberts and Alito are two of the worst Sup. Ct. Justices in US History.

People don't like the concept of a mandate for a reason - because in a system of limited government, it's unpalatable to people that the FEDERAL government could force people to buy a consumer product from a for-profit corporation.

That's why it's destined to be overturned. And grandiose John Roberts who thought he was making history and padding his legacy by looking 'enigmatic' is instead going to wind up looking exactly the way he is - completely tone-deaf and therefore bad as a Sup. Ct. Justice.

Kennedy got it right. Universal Healthcare's a noble ideal - it's just not going to happen with a mandate. Because the public'll wind up righting the wrong Justice Roberts made through the political process. He's so stupid ...

"Justice Roberts" is stupid because you don't like his decision. Had he voted otherwise, you would be extolling his praise.

While you are arguing that the government can force people to buy a consumer product from a for-profit corporation, keep in mind that the Rethuglicans refuse to allow the nonpublic option. Their sole purpose was not the best interest of the people, rather the best interest of their pocketbooks.

I applaud Chief Justice Roberts for being a true leader. I say that because he had the courage to take a stand and state his opinion despite the fallout. That is a true leader. Agree with them or not and like them or not, both President Obama and Chief Justice Roberts demonstrated true leadership.

You stated "With Obamacare WE NOW HAVE DEATH PANELS!!!"

Before Obamacare, many never had a chance to even reach a death panel. Many do not know that their own selfishness and lack of humanity will serve as their own death panel because one always reap what they sew.

Why, oh, why do so many Americans complain about an effort to help all Americans have health care? What does it say about us as a nation that so many people seem to think that health care is a privilege and not a right? And yet, without preventive and timely health care people are brought to an early grave.

Americans don't seem to have any qualms about spending billions of dollars on war. Why do they complain about spending money to help their fellow Americans acquire the health care they need?

Ironically and oh so hypocritically, so many of the GOP who proclaim their devotion to the "sanctity of human life" don't seem to give a **** once a person is born....

You are absolutely correct. I would be willing to bet you that Poster janeteleanor already has health care. She will fall victim to her own heartlessness.
