As someone who lives on this lake...The water in front of Baypointe is shallow like the entire lake. The bride went "under" because she lost her footing. Her husband went to the dock 3' behind him. No one was in danger...some people are so ridiculous with their comments. The hotel made it right, and footed the bill for the wedding. They laughed it off and had a good time regardless.

and to BethanyVS...I can appreciate your wanting to come to the defense of your friend, but, as someone watching the video of the Best Man in this wedding, allow me to come to the defense of the Bride. I'm VERY confident that if I and my loved ones just gotten plunged into a lake unexpectedly on ANY day, my immediate response would be to do anything I could to protect and care for my loved ones first. If you watch the video you will see that 4 seconds after the fall, the groom was no where near the bride. He made sure HE was safe at dock and still hadn't even looked back. SHE was an afterthought, if even that. The others in the party showed more concern than him. I hope this is an eye-opener for both of them.

The only thing I see at 4 seconds is a bridesmaid lifting her breasts...

wow, I didn't find this to be funny at all. It made me sick. I seriously hope that she went straight to the courthouse to file for an annullment. What a self-absorbed loser she got. Wake up lady!! This guy didn't even look back to see where you were or if you were hurt. ON YOUR WEDDING DAY!! Every scary.

Leave it to the bridesmaid to help the bride while the groom thinks only of himself. Not a good omen for a happy marriage. It is in unexpected circumstances that people show their true colors.

Let me guess. It's good luck for the bride and groom when the dock gives out on your wedding day.

Wow, that small deck was no match for all these people. They, unlike the dock, handled it very well. I know a lot of people who would have been freaking out instead of smiling after the bride got soaked and all their cell phones were destroyed. The dress, the make-up, all the preparations, they seem like a happy bunch to bounce back, take it in stride, and keep having fun on the wedding day. Good for them.

I think some of you are just downright cruel.
I think the wedding party, handled themselves with grace and class. I saw a lot of smiles, laughter, and no cussing. Well done.
This is something all of them will remember forever.

Thanks for being positive! That dock wasn't put together right. I saw it with my own eyes. I really hope my friends don't see some of the thoughtless, heartless things people are saying.

As the wife of the Best Man in this wedding, allow me to come to the defense of the Groom. I'm fairly confident that if you just got plunged into a lake unexpectedly on your wedding day, you would be in such shock that your immediate response would be to run to the nearest dock. They don't show you the whole clip. The Groom helped the Bride 4 seconds after they fell. Stop being haters.
As to some of your harsh comments regarding their foolishness for having that much weight on the docks, a normal dock would have held them up. If you've ever been in a harbor before, you'd know that. Several sections of THIS doc were visibly slanted and improperly assembled. Regardless, I think the character and positivity of the wedding party is the real message here. This couple is the height of class.

I thought the video was cute. It looks like everyone had a great time even though they ended up soaked.
