- Rats are used for experiments all the time. It upset me that someone damaged the spinal cord of the rats so that they could do experiments to see if they could make them walk again. I am sensitive to animals, even rats, that are hurt by humans. The rat in the video was very cute and trying very hard to walk when all along humans had damaged his spinal cord on purpose. It made me cry.
