- I am a bit confused, My name is Starla Donna Ryan, I don't know how you could put on a show about Vegas without having my grandfather mentioned in it! He (my grandfather) appointed Ralf Lamb as sheriff. He started the laborer union and fought the mob to get construction workers benefits. Way back then working on those hotels were very dangerous, and so many men were killed, leaving their families with nothing. My grandfather was in politics since 1935. His name was James G (Sailor) Ryan. The whole lamb crew would be at my grandfathers house on the weekends to rope. If yourgoing to put on a show and state that it is based on true life events, then maybe you should put TRUE LIFE EVENTS IN IT. Maybe you all should do a bit more research on who was who,how things were decided, I have new papers dating back to 1936,,, maybe you all would like to borrow them. Starla D Ryan McDaniel
