I was doing stuff like this 20 years ago, and didn't get recognised as a "prodigy." The only reason they are giving this kid the time of day is because her father, an artist, has connections, and like Alexandra Nikita, her age is the gimmick. Sure she was chosen by a panel in London who didn't know her age, but her father got her admittance to the jury. There have been others like her reported in the media, but there is no secret to their childish art, no real talent, and no significant message. They simply paint like kids and have connections after they've been set up and prompted by the parents with the right supplies to look grown up and sophisticated. Its all phony BS hype to cash in on the kids.

If the kid's splashings are esthetically pleasing to the viewer's eye, that's all that really matters. Part of that beauty and art is her lack of concern for monetary value. "Priceless".

Haha! Those parents should be laughing all the way to the bank because this is exactly the kind of thing that any kid will do if they have the supplies to do it with. Gotta love it!

Through the eyes of a child much can be found and learned. Look at the intensity and focus in her eyes. Incredible, have not seen her work but would love to and would be an added bonus speaking with her.

I disagree with Picasso's assertion that there are no child prodigies in the art world. Look at Picasso's own earliest works, painted when we was 9-15 years old, and you will see that he was brilliant in terms of both technical artistry and emotional maturity.

This just confirms that there are a lot of scammers, con-men and frauds making really good livings in the art world.
