You should see what is happening in Kenosha WI. My own son was murdered by cops. We settled for $1.75 million (without a confidentiality agreement) and our family had to hire an investigator to uncover the truth. We have been taking TV ads (http://youtu.be/JCKUiYKGgXo) and billboards (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IT4pwtt_iA) out all over the state. Next stop is an Ad in USA TODAY.

Adam should be hired by a big newspaper that will allow him to do investigative journalism. This is a great story, a sad story, and sorry to say, it looks like a true story...but a story that could be told about many towns and cities in our country. It is time for newspapers, TV stations and the citizens to start getting these corrupt police out of office and into the prison system as prisoners who would receive a lifetime in jail...this sheriff didn't get enough time as far as I am concerned. Many of our newspapers, TV companies are owned by foreign investors, foreign investors who don't care to have their corrupt friends exposed and sent to prison. It should be a Federal law that companies owned by foreign investors cannot own companies (nor schools like the other 60 min. segment tonight) in OUR COUNTRY. STAND UP FOR HONEST GOVERNMENT OR OUR COUNTRY WILL GO THE WAY OF RUSSIA WITH THEIR CORRUPT GOVERNMENT.

These are not the only corrupt counties, I lived in Edmundson Co. and the sheriff there was the biggest pot grower in the county and if he caught you he confiscated any and all you had and would resell it. He didnt like competion. This county is also one of the biggest meth producers in the state. I moved from there to get away from all the drug activity.

I'd like to call the two journalists little Mike Wallace's. You're my heroes. I strongly believe America wouldn't be today's America without countless journalists like you guys.

In the 60 Minutes episode remembering Mike Wallace, Morley said his visits were preceded by the dreaded words "Mike Wallace is here." In a weird way, I grew a little prouder of my reporting the moment I heard that because, understandably, secretaries for public officials around Whitley County would get real nervous, pick up the phone and say, "Adam is here."

No one has rights there unless they are part of the good-ole-boy network, or unless you don't stir the waters.

So the lawyer gets off? What about the judges that heard the cases? Seems the lawyers most times get off!

The lawyer didn't get off, just go to the Corbin Times Tribune website and click on the Whitley County Sheriff's Investigation tab. I was present the day they came to the Federal courthouse and arrested Hodge during a civil trial on November 8, 2010. They took him away in cuffs while in uniform.

The lawyer was sentenced to 3 years in federal prison for his role in the extortion scheme. He didn't receive as long of a sentence because he pleaded to an information, meaning he admitted guilt in federal court before being charged. Also, his statements were used as evidence against Sheriff Hodge. @Appalachia_Adam
