Rhonda didn't shoot herself in the head-she simply won't due that to her mother as she loved her to much to leave her with such devastation and pain. I think her dumb husband struggled all night with the rage he felt about her and got up and shot her. I doubt he slept like a baby all night and it sure feels like a lie that he "tried" to persuade her from not committing suicide by consoling her all night and then he was suppose to have slept like a baby while she slept in the closet and then shot herself and he was soooo tired that he didn't hear the shot. Oh good grief- did he console her while she slept in the closet? If he knew she was suicidal then why didn't her hide the gun????-oh good grief not even a two year old would invent such an inplausable story.

Ron Reynolds is a big fat liar all the way around.........PLEASE. Its amazing how he just so happens to forget most every important question thrown at him. How could you not remember whether or not you slept in the same bed with your ex wife the day after your wife kills herself supposedly???? Oh and he brings his ex wife to his current wifes funeral???? REALLY???? This guy sounds and acts like Mr. Wonderful and the victim.........was a piece of trash. His son looking like the crack head he probably still is, wouldn't surprise me if dad covered up for son. This family is nuts. Small town police need to get their head out of their butts.

Ronda did not take her own life.Johnathan looks like and sounds like he is still on drugs. Also, there is no way her mother would spend this many years pursueing this if their was any doubt what so ever at all in her mind that her daughter was capable of suicide. It is very sad that the gun was removed from Ronda's hand before pictures were taken.Barbara I am again so sorry for your loss and I am sure this will stay with you for the rest of your life as if it happened a couple of months ago not years.I also believe that Ron's mother did not have a close enough relationship with Ronda to know anything about her and anything she says just came from her son's mouth.Thank you Ann for your help with Ronda's mom.

First of all, the investigation was unprofessional and has only assisted the suspects. Once again, victimizing Ronda and her family. Ron and Johnathon are lying, it is so obvious. How does Ron not remember whether his ex-wife stayed over night, the same night that he claims his wife supposedly committed suicide. His ex-wife is an accomplice (possibly after the fact). Ron if you think Barbara and Ann are a pain, how do you sleep at night? You and Johnathon should be fearing God too! You could start helping yourself and clear your conscience. Johnathon might be your son but, you are helping a murderer. Are you truly safe from him? Barbara and Ann, be strong ladies as you pursue justice for Ronda!!!!!! God Bless you and lets pray for convictions!!!!!!

I'd like to know if the "preacher" really did have sex with that poor woman - which I doubt, because it's ludicrous to imagine that she'd want to with a man she was leaving duh!. His DNA would be the same as that son of his, and I bet HE is the one who either raped & killed her or did it after he murdered her. Meth-heads will do anything, to anyone. A more detailed DNA analysis would prove father or son.

Evil breeds evil, so it only follows that his father and his mother would cover up this crime considering they were doing each other in the bed right next to their son's victim.

If they really are JW (I doubt that too) they live in a desperate fear of what the Lord has in store for them on the other side after what they've done.

I question the inquest finding. Suicide seems plausible to me. Certainly, the prosecutor made the right decision in not charging anyone. There would never have been a conviction. It's true that the investigation was botched; it's true that both father and son are weird, and the kid well may have been a tweaker. But that's a long way from murder. The biggest problem is lack of a plausible motive. You can concoct one (the kid hated her and went crazy on drugs), but there's no evidence to support it. I don't know what happened, but in spite of the 48 hour spin to support the thesis of the "true crime" writer, I'd bet on suicide. Suicide was NOT ruled out by the position of the gun or the bullet trajectory, as other posters have claimed.

Sorry, but a woman doesn't call and say "see you tomorrow mom", have a friend over to help her pack up her gear, toss a quickie off with the guy she's leaving and then inexplicably blow her brains out.

Even the worst Hollywood writer in the world wouldn't make up a crock like that - which is why no one buys the BS those guys are dishing out.

How could you possibly conclude 'suicide' based on the story. I'm fairly certain there are more facts and evidence to the case that 48 hrs couldn't possibly include in a 1 hour program. Like the guy said how on earth could a gun come to rest on a persons head if they fired it themselves!!!!

Suicide seems plausibleto me too. the reason is she has classic symptoms of bipolar(manic depression).
---low mood--depression---hard time getting out of bed
---overspending--taking new credit cards in Ron's name--$20,000 charges
---threatening suicide

Bipolar people suffer the highest rate of deaths from suicide--more deaths than cancer. More deaths than those who are unipolar(severe depression)because when bipolar people have their energy highs ,they are able to go thru with their threats--while the depressed lack the energy.

Rhonda also was in her 30's---the age where many bipolars start having serious problems with their brain chemistry. To top that off. Rhonda was facing discouraging, hopeless circumstances with another failed marriage.

I strongly feel she ended her life because of mental illness and discouraging circumstances.

It's hard to believe that any law officer or prosecutor could look into the dead eyes of those two and not realize they are lying! If Ron Reynolds didn't pull the trigger he certainly is covering up. It makes you question the motives of the old bunch, including the law officers.

I do believe that Ron and Jonathan are responsible for Ronda's murder. Jonathan certainly appears to have "meth mouth" & that leads me to believe that he was doing drugs way before Ronda's death. He has dead eyes like a shark and their story just does not hold up at all in my mind. Ann Rule has more experience than any other "true crime" writer and I feel that she and Ronda's mother are correct. I wish that Ron & Jonathan would be locked up and the key thrown in the ocean. Liars--complete liars. The fact that Ron is already on his 4th wife, and purported to be a marriage counselor at one time, is laughable. They will get theirs. When they least expect it, something terrible will happen in their lives and they will wonder why. Ronda's untimely death is why.

This is bs that 48 hours give this ***** any type of public forum at all. If RR didn't shoot her, he knows who did. Ron Reynolds is a freaking liar and no one should be giving this guy the opportunity to talk to the public regarding this "MURDER" at all.
