The emperor not ony has no clothes, he is bathing in a tub of excrement.

Apparently taste and good sense die along with one's ethics, if these wealth hoarders ever possessed such qualities to begin with.

Have a good time with your "art" you ninnies, and try not to think about the basic neccessities that are being denied so many so you can hang a translucent toilet seat, or a Gerhard Richter on the wall of your mansion.

I was shocked to hear we cut our space program. Its disgraceful. Blame Congress. Blame the War. It costs a lot of money to fight a war. Lets call Trump, or Johnson and Johnson or Monsanto, put it into the hands of the people, sell shares, make a movie. Its an issue of pride. How will my grandson ever be an astronaut? Stop crying,Government drones. get busy.

Dr. Lustig says High Fructose Corn Syrup is no different than regular sugar... how could he make such an incorrect statement? Especially given all the studies out there?? I agree with his war on sugar, but wish he was more accurate

What are we supposed to do when after a career in rocket science, the only jobs left are McJobs? I worked for 15 years in electronics manufacturing and rose through the ranks to become a manager...was underemployed for 3 1/2 years working a consession stand sell hotdogs and beer then was laid off from that position. Just took a retail management job making slightly more than minimum wage and a tad more than unemployment benefits. Add in transportation costs and I'm living on less than unemployment. This after over a year and 1/2 of NO WORK and NO CALLS BACK from thousands of applications for anything and everything available.
I have to say it really ticks me off to see http://www.chron.com/opinion/outlook/article/Few-workers-qualified-to-handle-manufacturing-work-1686135.php. STOP importing workers and START putting those of us with skills and proven experience back to work in positions suitable to our talents!!!!!!!

You are not the only people out of work. Its nation wide. Your experiance although sad I empathize and can relate, is pretty common these days. However; we are not alone. Many talented skilled persons are out of work. Things are changing, its not the same world anymore. How do you think our great grandparents felt when they had to stand in line for bread? It is that bad...... Follow the money and you will understand.Look at the greeks, they defaulted on their loans, and they ARE in bread lines! Europe is in Chaos..... There is no one person to blame. People only care about what they have and what they can get and everyone wants to be rich. Don't get sick over things you cannot control and by all means don't give up. Not everyone is stupid but it sometimes seems that way. ~

The sugar story was great. Very well done. I am an addict of sugar and gave it up 4 years ago and have gone from 320 to 195. I feel fantastic.

I myself work in the space industry, yet I feel no more sympathy for these shuttle workers than I do for the people that built steam engines or covered wagons. The Space Shuttle program had a good run and I'm extremely thankful for their hard work, but now it's time to move on to the next step. Don't be fooled by the patriotic tears you see here, America wants and deserves a new, more capable program. These workers were warned that the shuttle program was ending years ago and shouldn't act surprised. The reason we don't have a new spacecraft for them to launch is that there is not enough money to maintain the shuttle program and develop a new craft simultaneously, you can't have it both ways.

Oh and I should add that the unemployment figure in Brevard county is just about the same as the average across the US

...and reduce wages, eliminate unions, cut overtime, reverse "globalization", raise duties on imports and do whatever necessary, but for God's sake bring back the jobs so many companies sent their manufacturing to China, India and others...there is no other way to save this country. Without our own industrial base, this country will go down the drain. No president in this country can reverse this trend, unless the entire government (congress, senate, supreme court, etc.) assumes a new radical plan in reverse to the past!

What you say will happen if congress would get out of the way and the stupids stop shouting about President Obamas religion, place of birth and erronous polical intentions. Get behind his policies to tax the overseas inports and the policies to bring Amercan jobs back home. His plans are radical ! Hello????
