- This Pakistani Doctor is a HERO to both the USA & Pakistan (in fact the entire planet). He should be given a medal, but instead is treated like a pariah and unlawfully thrown into prison. This regime in Pakistan is an unofficial enemy of the West & holds responsibility for the actions of the Al-Qaeda & Taliban monsters who torture & murder innocent people. Just like Iran, this regime deserves to burn in Hell for its support of world barbarism.

- Actually this interview protects Dr. Alfridi by keeping the issue in front of the world. Its a warning to Pakistan to not harm the Doctor. Pakistan needs friends and US aid. The international community will not support Pakistan if it harms the Doctor and the US will not provide as much aid. Where will Pakistan be when we leave Afghanistan in 2014...without friends to help them face their number on enemy India. Dr. Alfridi is safe as long as this in public to the world.

- Sounds like adequate justification for a clandestine mission to pull this guy out unless there is reason to believe he won't assent to being rescued. I give my personal green light to this mission.

- I think the life of Dr Afridi will be in danger after the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta's public admission that Dr Afridi helped US by providing Osama's whereabouts. Us has moral obligation to rescue Dr Afridi now by making his info public.

- You don't have any knowledge concerning the government to government diplomacy which may have occurred between Pakistan and the United States with respect to Dr. Afridi do you? This issue concerning Dr. Afridi was in the news for weeks following the bin Laden mission. I am certain Pakistan was already fully aware of what action Dr. Afridi did or did not take concerning this matter. Pakistan is not our enemy as far as I know, althought our relationship with Pakistan certainly has been frosty since we accidentially killed 24 of their soldiers. The U.S. has an obligation to do everthing diplomatically possible to obtain the release of Dr. Afridi. We do not have a moral obligation to conduct a military operation against Pakistan in an attempt to rescue Dr. Afridi even though we abhor the action Pakistan has taken.

- Well, the only to save Afridi's life might be to let the world know that Pakistan military had been hiding and helping bin Laden since 9/11 ...
