I watched your piece on diet soda & I had to comment. You actually blame diet soda for some peoples weight gain. How about blaming the Big Mac & large fries you had with the diet soda. What if I ate Brocolli three meals a day but felt so deprived that I treated myself to a half gallon of ice cream each night. Does that mean that Brocolli caused my weight gain. When will the media learn that studies on whether a particular food is good or bad for you are inherently flawed. The only way these studies could be valid is if you locked the participants in cages and strictly controlled all their nutrition & exercise, but it's kind of hard to find people to participate under these terms. The first law of valid experimentation is one variable at a time. I see so much "Junk" science touted on the news where multiple variables are involved, yet sweeping statements are made without valid scientific proof.
