- He should had been offered help before it got to that level they ignored him. I was in the ARMY from 1980 to 1984. I was told by my ARMY recruiter Dennis Selby that if I joined the ARMY I would make as much money as I did in my cilivan job. He lied I went from $12,500 a year to $6,000.00 a year pluss my wife gave up her job that she maid $4,000.00 a year. I asked for a discharge in Basic training so I could go back to my Cilivian job so not to be cast into poverty. They said no. My Wife left me. Then when I got to my first perminit party station at Fort Ord I asked again, They said No. I then Got sent to Grafenburg Germany. I asked again. I livied in the barrets. We had Barrets inspection at least once a week. I made the rank of spec 4 I then was making $6,000.00 a year. They wanted me to re-enlist. I said I was on militery leave from my job back in the states at Meijer thriftu acres. They planeted drugs and drug equipment in my open unsecure area in the barrets and then 5 minutes after i showed up in my area, they came and accused me of saleing drugs. They said if I would not plead guilty that they would send me to jail for e 35 years. So two days before I was to get out of the ARMY with a honorable discharge. I pled guilty to a crime I didnot commet and got a Dishonorable discharge.
