1. GE paid no taxes last year
2. Immelt/GE owes his current position as jobs czar to huge campaign donations to Obama
3. Immelt says he doesn't understand why American don't love what he (and other global corporations) does...Leslie wake up...they have destroyed America's job base
4. Leslie must have had a great time traveling to Brazil on the CBS tab...but, we need intelligent, well informed interviewers not over paid flacks
5. Immelt is the essence of why Occupy wall st. exists, as a tea party sympathizer I am in greatly in sympathizer with OWS
6. Only Martha Stewart did hard time, Immelt, Jamie Diman, Hank Paulson, and dozens of other criminals walk with huge bonuses
7. Your CBS propaganda is clearly not working per all the preceding comments

What I find very interesting is Leslie's reaction to jobs that are $15.00 and $17.00 per hour for pretty much "unskilled" labor. Have you seen what's being offered out there in wages? In my area $15.00 50 $17.00 per hour is pretty damn good. Maybe I live is a "low rent" state or at least a "low rent" city but around here most jobs are going for around $10.00 an hour if you're lucky. And for those out of work on unemployment for a couple of years, that looks good. I am always shocked at how out of touch the media and politicians are with regular people they're suppose to be in touch with.

When Immelt took over GE, the stock was $75 per share. Less than 10 years later, it is now $15 per share. Amazing that Lesley Stahl never brought this up. Most 401K accounts are crushed in this country because the funds invested heavily in GE. When Immelt mentioned he wrote off $32 Billion, he was never challenged on why (GE Finance). Yet Immelt has taken extraordinary bonuses from GE every year for such poor performance. He wants us to "root for him/GE" while he eviserates our retirement savings.

I believe it to be the lobbyists of the major corporations. They are the ones putting the legislators in office to make the decisions for us. Legislators are our "representatives" we are their "constituents." We are the "UNITED" States of America. Let us make a difference-Write your congressman! Money is just a piece of paper that we have put a monetary value on that is not backed by anything but the bonds of the government. The government fails, our money fails. No matter how much money there is, there will never be enough. Bipartisan government isn't very efficient; there are too many different ideals and beliefs to make an agreement. Get rid of partys and we'll get something done in office.

The gentleman from GE made a statement regarding American should like their corporations like the Japanese do but he failed to mentioned about the japanese corporate culture where they care for their workers. See Wikipedia about japanese corporate culture for more info.I do beleive they (tThe Japanese)support they country by paying their fair share of taxes not by trying to avoid paying them. Mr. Immelt should should compare American corporate culture with Japanese corporate culture before he dictates what the American public should do.

As I watched Jeffrey Immelt last night I became angrier and angrier with every comment until I finally had to turn him off. Obama didn't "choose" him as jobs czar - he was foisted on him by the corporate powers that be. Obama chose people like Elizabeth Warren and Van Jones and we all know what happened to them. Immelt talked about his desire to have the American people love GE like the Germans love Siemens. If GE paid a decent wage, had good benefits, reasonable vacation time and maternity leave, good child care, free higher education and we had universal health care like Germany does, maybe I would feel differently, but for now I feel like Americans are treated like slaves to big corporations.

You should have pushed him more on fair wages. And also told him that just because there are loop holes in our tax system (which he said were unfair and should be changed) he doesn't have to pay high-priced accountants to take advantage of them. It's like someone who steals a car saying that it is the owners fault for leaving it unlocked! Greedy CEO's like Jeff Immelt (who's compensation more than doubled to $15.2 million in 2010) are stealing money from the hard working Americans who break their backs. Obama should lay him off - something he does to Americans all the time!

This is unbelievable. Our CEOs are sending our technology to China and setting up R&D centers outside of the US. China has marginalized other European companies that send them their technology. R&D is USA's competitive advantage. Obama needs a new Jobs Czar. America needs a new direction.

Haven't you noticed those appointed positions are filled with 1%ers?
This GE is responsible for the rise of China and the fall of our middle class.
This job czar, Immelt is the "enemy" as Hank Williams put it.
