This case is how the court system should work. Amanda if you were in the States it would of taken at least a decade to appeal and and have another day in court if they grant you one you are truly lucky!!

Your comments are something many of the commenters here don't think about. How many prisoners on Death Row have been found innocent by DNA?

Vile schadenfreude. A very nasty comment.

To everyone else EXCEPT Jeff: In the US, this case would never have gone to trial.

i just want to say i've been following this case sence the beginning and i felt that the police did a very sloopy job in their investagation and i always felt that Amanda was innocent. its about time that justdice was served and Amanda was free to go home to her family and back to her life. its sad that that poor girl had to lose her life. its also sad that a poor innocent girl lost 4yrs of her life that she will never get back. Amanda if you ever happen to read my comment i never lost faith in you i knew you were innocent and one day you will look back at this as a bad dream, but know in the end this made you a stronger person and one day you will do something great with your live n who knows you may even help someone else thats in the same situation that you once were in. god puts people down a bumpy road sometimes to lead them to where their suppose to be. this was probably your path to save someone else. just no the lord will never give you more then you can handle. everything in life happens for a reason. Enjoy your freedom girl and know that you are blessed to have such a devoted family and friends in your life. and for all you haters who didnt have faith in Amanda ya'll can go to hell cuz she beat this and became a stroger person from it she never lost faith in her innocence and now look where she is home free to live her life the way god intended her to live it. enjoy your life Amanda.

She had been pressured by the local police for hours. It is not the first case where people have been forced to "confess", even here in the US !!! Cardinal Mindszenty "confessed" to the Communists' accusations in Hungary in 1948 after having been "worked on" by the Communists. Wake up!

Aquarian_Love: Amanda Knox will never know you exist. The best thing for you to do is accept that she is free and try to get on with your life.

In addition to the facts of the Massei Report, Amanda Knox was arrested in Seattle for hosting out-of-control violent sex/drug parties (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-498853/The-wild-raunchy-past-Foxy-Knoxy.html)

Here's a likely scenario: Knox threw a wild drug/sex party like the ones she threw in Seattle. She opened her house up to Guede & who knows who else, probably without Kercher's permission. Knox, being rather naive at the time, thought partying like this with street thugs like Guede is the same as partying with her college buddies back in Seattle. It's not, as she soon found out. As with Knox's previous parties, things escalated out of control. But this time, things went too far. Then Knox tried to cover it all up to cover her arse. There's clearly evidence that she was at least involved in the cover up. In any case, Knox knows more than she's letting on and she accused an innocent man (Lumumba) of murder -- an accusation she never rescinded or apologized for.

Wow. and you accuse her of lies. Going to give you the benefit of ignorance. You do know that disturbing the peace is equivalent to a parking ticket? There was no arrest. But then maybe you did know and are just malicious and hateful.
erzkarlaspern replies:

She accused Lumumba after being "interrogated" by many police for hours and without a lawyer! Does that ring bells for you? Have you ever heard of Cardinal Mindszenty's "confessing" to "crimes" the Communists accused him of after their takeover of Hungary in 1948? And she did apologize to Lumumba.

As for the claim of false allegations against Amanda & Raefalle, two words: MASSEI REPORT

Yeah, that Massei Report is a piece or work. Just not the kind any competent judge would want their name on. Has to be most embarrassing publication written by that judicial system in quite a while. To have the incompetence of the Perugia police and court put out there for the world to see can't be taken back now. The world knows the emperor (Magnini) has no clothes.

TruthCalls says:
Liverlipps, so much of your post is factually incorrect that I don't even know where to start. In her voluntary statement she repeatedly indicates she doesn't believe her own memory of being there. If she had been there and was admitting to it she would have implicated Guede, who was there, and not Lumumba, who she knew was working that night. There are no cell phone records of Amanda talking to Guede. There is NO evidence she was there the night of the murder. The Appeal Court ruled there was no staged break-in. There is no evidence of any cleaning of the crime scene. And finally, the Massei report is based on the initial trial, and a significant portion of it has since been discredited. All of the speculation given in the report is based on false evidence and baseless theory.

Just a thought, Why would there be cell phone records of Amanda talking to Guede, if they were in the same room?

Sadly this happens too often. Clearly this girl was no satanist, ring leader or orgy participant! Her entire life was as a goodie 2 shoes, you don't become a cold blooded killer and skilled manipulator overnight!
Oh come on she gave a light kiss on the mouth to her bf and bought some underwear while having zero access to her own clothes, that doesn't make someone guilty! That prosecutor was without a doubt on a vendetta to take her down no matter what the evidence said...and there was zero evidence that she was guilty!
Now Amanda comes home a changed woman, her faith into humanity all but gone. Although she did get her freedom back, something most wrongfully accused never get, it was still 4 years behind bars that showed that beautiful young woman how much fear and persecution is ever present all around us.
And yeah, 50 hours of interrogation over 4 days, that's almost 13 hours a day. It doesn't take that long for professionals to break a naive young woman's spirit, come on, plenty of people have confessed that way even though it was impossible for them to have committed the crime.

After 50 hours, over 4 days, very little breaks or food or water or sleep and trained intimidating MALE interrogators ganging up on me (I'm a female), using all the manipulation techniques they know, I would have told them Mickey Mouse is my half brother, the love child of my mother and Santa Claus.

ipsofacto66 says:
Anyone doing a background check on Amanda could easily see that she is basically a goodie-two-shoes college kid that was testing the waters of the party scene...not a female Jack the Ripper. The prosecutor should have been reprimanded (perhaps fired or even jailed) for such conduct.

However, the world (and people in general) seem to be changing for the worse. Crime is everywhere, and misconduct within the legal and justice systems is a daily occurrence. If you're going to travel or live in foreign countries, you're basically rolling the dice as to whether criminals or crooked legal officials come knocking on your door.

It was quite low from this documentary to accuse the prosecutor of being a Satanist based on the words of a book seller, maybe an interview with the prosecutor would have been the right thing to do instead of slandering him.

You were not listening. They never accused Menini of being a Satanist. They said he was very aware of Satanic cults and felt that there were many people involved in Satanism in his town and he was lead to believe this about Amanda.
AntiHate replies:

The prosecutor gets his motivation theories from someone that talks to a dead priest and you are concerned that he is obsessed with satanism?
erzkarlaspern replies:

They did not accuse him of being a satanist, but they said that he accused her or implied Amanda was doing something evil. It seemed overly dramatic by CBS, from what I could see.
