It does seem like Shannon may have had some type of episode when she reached the neighbor's house, one of hysteria and paranoia, possibly from drugs? or her bipolar issues could have contributed to the fact that there really was someone after her, and I don't believe the guy whose house she was at for 3 hours, that he just wanted her to leave. I think he wouldn't pay her and she got mad, and he somehow threatened her, caused her to run off scared, but that he went after her and killed her. After all, he couldn't have her spread the word that he wouldn't pay to the other escorts. How can the police not get any answers? He was known to be the last person she was truly with, arguing with her, and that's just a coincidence? In my opinion, if they ever find Shannon's remains it'll lead back to him, I think her remains are somewhere around his place or property. Have they ever searched his property and house? If not, why? It seems so obvious to do a complete search of his property, she made a phone call to police saying "they" were going to kill her, so it has to be more than just him because she says this before she's even left his house. Something feels strange about Shannon's case and I'm not comprehending why more was not done with the man who called her out there. I know everyone has rights, but this seems so obvious to me that the one guy is involved in killing Shannon, and since all of the cases are similar, I think they have talked to the serial killer. What, this isn't Texas, where they can convict and execute anyone on a whim? On gut instict? In Texas, he would have been executed already, along with the driver. But seriously, I hope they catch this person (guy). I hope escorts are now taking every precaution.

All of these women were victims, and my heart goes out to the family and friends. I can only begin to understand what they were going thru to have to be escorts, because I'm sure no one desires to end up that way. I think the investigators could and should have done more in Shannon's case, there was way more to go on there with the guy whose house she was at for 3 hours. He has to know something, and I would truly like to hear what the results of his polygraph if he has had one, as well as the other two men. The driver could have a plausible excuse with his legal issues for not staying around or wanting police involved, he may not have known how serious this would become. As far as the guy whose house she was at for 3 hours, I truly feel he's involved, a gut feeling on top of common sense. To the person who commented about Amber, I'm sorry for ur friend, but I was given the impression of a geniunely good person, and nothing bad, so I don't know what ur getting so mad about, maybe bc u weren't on TV? I don't get it. She was beautiful even in that pic. With so many bodies, u would think they would have found something out by now, like the comment above about the burlap, was that investigated? This is such a sad story, the police should have done more, and in my opinion, Shannon's was definitely bc she was an escort. Her sisters are beautiful! Maureen's sister, my heart breaks for ur loss, she sounds like she was such a great person. Bless these poor women, their families, and friends!

And it's possible that, like the Commissioner said, the responding officer reacted as with any missing person....for about 5 minutes until he found out her profession. Of course the Commissioner is going to say that, he has to put a positive spin on it, don't make the police look bad, but he kinda admits to it in the interview. It's so sad our police and prosecutors these days are really either so gung-ho they arrest the first person they come across, i.e. Hank Skinner on death row set to be executed Nov. 9, 2011, or they don't want to investigate it at all like Shannon's case. It's a lose-lose situation when it comes to American justice. Jurors need to be educated before ever being considered to decide the fate of another human being, like what the term "innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt." It seems like most jurors don't understand that the prosecutor is attempting to portay the situation, instead it seems like they are taking everything the prosecutors say as fact when there's been so much proof of prosecutorial misconduct and misleading jurors. Look at the case of Josh Kezer in MO, the prosecutor took hearsay, or sworn testimony that was coerced by the sheriff, and presented them as facts. Kezer was exonerated after 16 years in prison (also known as the bloodiest 47 acres in America.) Ryan Ferguson is another case of an overzealous prosecutor who mislead jurors. I'm hoping for a criminal justice system reform, which Barry Scheck, co creator and co-director of the Innocence Project, says he thinks there's one coming. Let's hope so!

Hi Has any of the detectives in the Long Island case checked any of the stores, that sells burlap, it is not something everyone buys every day and to me it would have taken alot of burlap for the amount that they found. I would also check to see if they where in the landscaping or nurseries business because they use burlap to cover certain trees in the winter time. If they check these stores just maybe someone purchased the burlap and used a credit card.

The killer has to be a with a medical background because it takes a lot of guts to chop up a body. Take another look at the doctor.

Because of him seeming to know the in's and out's of what he can and cannot get away with as far as alluding being seen etc, sounds like the killer may have been a police officer or similar

killers are sick and capable of anything. You don't have to be a Doctor to cut up a body.

These shows are very poignant and sobering and bring a harsh reality about our country and the people who live amongst us!The one negative thing these shows do is most certainly let the killer or killers know they can't dump there anymore!Sometimes I feel the "sensationalism" of broadcasting these shows can cause more detriment to the investigation and drive the Killer underground or to another part of the country to start a new!If they get his DNA he is living on borrowed time!If he is convicted and sent to prison he will receive the same treatment he so callously dispensed on these women, and rightly so.It always amazes me how we humans treat each other every day!

You talk about "The one negative thing" these shows do is to let the killers know....blah blah blah............Well, what do you think you are doing when you talk about killers dumping ground, the DNA, leaving country to start new life, and remind the killer what will happen to him if he gets sent to jail????? EH?

And these killers get off on watching about the crimes they commit, they probably do learn from watching the news and so on, where not to go, and know when it is time to blow town. I hope they catch this creep soon, I feel so bad for the families, and the innocent victims.

I agree. There is nothing entertaining about that commercial at all. And I can never remember who the maker of the phone is, I'm so annoyed by the commercial. It certainly wouldn't get me to buy that phone--whoever makes it.
