- you only have 1/2 a story, Bank hired law firms to do their forclosures, When the lawyers didn't have the paperwork the engaged in signing folly. Law firm employees were vice presidents of MERS signed & fake assigmens so their firms could foreclose here in Florida - David Stern, Kats, Watson (who settled for $1 mil), and others -- My client was victim of Eli Harless another documented robo signer. You need to go after these firms -- and expose the wrongful foreclosures that these law firms have caused -- displacing families for a $1200 fee! All that TARP money to the lenders-- for what? The lenders tell people the qualify for HAMP -- make them pay for 3-6-9 months leading them on to thinking they will get a permanent loan mod only to pull the plug and deny the applicant 6-9 months later. This needs to be exposed.

- Though we are in the business of selling Foreclosed homes, every time we have to show one of these homes to potential buyers it is an extremenly sad situation. The american dream to own a beautiful home became? a nightmare for many of us NO Thanks to the banks for wanting to make a quick buck by approving us for loans we did not qualify! Now, after their mistakes, we have to pay the price! Many personal friends and fam. affected by this... very Sad!

- Shouldn't the banks have the paper work in order if I'm currently making payments? Can I ask my bank to show ownership and clean paperwork?

- What about our pensions and the impact of all this. The AG of NY apparently now has proof that the mortgage backed securities aren't mortgage backed. How do we find out how many MBSs our pensions are holding? How do we figure out what our pensions have been investing in and is transparency needed or is it too late? Are these issues that faced you can turn the ship around or have a whole bunch of ships hit an iceberg?

- Scott, I hope you will let viewers know that when MERS bypassed the county recorders, each county across the country lost millions of revenue. That in turn has led to a loss of government services and more unemployment. Guilford County, NC Deed of Registrars has put a dollar and cents on it for his county. Maybe if those figures were extrapolated for larger counties like Hillsborough in FL, people would understand that this is a crisis that impacts all of us. Also, 60 minutes should include information about the lawsuits database from investors. How about interviewing Talcott Franklin and having him talk about his database?

- On the blaming side of this gigantic scheme, C-Level executives from financial firms have stayed away as if they had nothing to do with these frauds. When you give Power of Attorney to someone to perform actions in your name, you are either a part of those actions or you are a claimant in a suit against the designated representative for their wrongdoings during the representation. The first makes you an accomplice and the second a part to the fraud suits against the foreclosure procedures. What is it going to be?

- It is time that people know about this. Most mortgages were sold many times locally and overseas to investors. That means the title belongs to whoever owns the mortgage. If the bank sold the mortgage, it has no ownership title of the home, to foreclose or to sell the foreclosed home, both are frauds that can be brought to court. If the bank shows a title, you better have it investigated because submission of that forged title in court is also a fraud. There is a lot to look at in these cases and most are in favor of the distressed debtor.

- While you are correct, and it SHOULD be that simple, the reality is, very, very few judges listen or pay attention when these issues are brought up. They know the average homeowner can't appeal, don't have the know how, and can't afford an attorney (which I do not recommend anyway except as a bridge to cover yourself while you learn to take over your case) and many other monetary issues to make them stop and listen. The corruption is rampant across the country with very few exceptions.

- And who was it that bailed out the banks? And now they own more homes than the citizens . . . that bail out was such a great idea!

- The truth is that they had to bailed out or we would all have lost every possibility for a decent future with a financial collapse. But that is the point nobody makes. Those people who made fantastic money screwing the country from thier executive positions in Wall Street had to be tried in court for their actions and banned from the financial markets for at least ten years. They should have payed fines comparable to their earnings. But of course nothing like this hapenned because they have "friends in high places" and so the whole wave of missery has and will not touch them and they will still enjoy the millions they made bringing down the system.

- Actually Mauriciott, it DELAYED a collapse, it did not prevent it. There is probably nothing that can be done to prevent the collapse other than delay it. While I honestly don't want to see it in my lifetime, the longer we keep pushing it off, the worse it will be WHEN it collapses. Not IF, but WHEN

- My mother and I just discovered this fraud too. We have become forensic loan investigators. We have tons of robo signatures in our documents and this fraud is so huge, it's making some people beyond wealthy at the expense of the little people in America. If anyone needs answers, I have some, I do NOT charge at all. Amadav@live.com
