Why does CBS consider Clint Eastwood's opinion as news? Clint Eastwood is an actor. Why do we look to celebrities for guidance? Are their opinions somehow more valuable than those of other people?
The Republicans do not need a candidate for the 2012 Presidential Election because they already have their man installed in office.

I am confident that the Corporations who own the Republican Party care very little if any individual current Republican candidate wins the Republican nomination looses or even runs in 2012.
Clint is far too kind. Obama betrayed our trust. He's just another bought-out stooge for the bankers. He's done the same bailouts, except more of them, than his predecessor. He's run up more debt. He's engaged in more and wider wars. He has sent hither swarms of officers to harass our People and eat out their Substance.
Let me see: You buy a car that someone else has owned for 8 years and that owner ran the car into the ground and it is now in bad shape but you buy it anyway and then you spend spend spend to make the car look good but you do absolutely nothing to make the car RUN better so once you find out that your spending has not made the car run very well, you blame the previous owner......MMMMMM ...that sounds about right for how this president works!!!
Lame analogy... more like you inherent a car in bad shape due to the previous owner, and since it's in such bad shape it takes a lot of money just to keep it barely running. You want to make major improvements to get it humming again, but you need approval from a bunch of people who don't like you and they won't give their permission to make any improvements because they want to discredit you.

Obama was give more lattitude than most new presidents with more people backing him than most that I have ever seen in my 63 years and yet because he had NO experience, his methods were not only wrong, they were ignorant.
It is time to get off of the Bush Excuse (and I for one disliked Bush immensely as I use to live in Texas) so I KNOW what Bush was like and let me tell you he was and is nothing like his father but again, there comes a time that you need to own up to your own shortcomings and for this idiot of a so-called president it is now past time!!!

If I remember correctly, he campaigned on having the most transparent administration in history, then shut the doors (literally) on the Republicans to get the deal done. He said he'd close Gitmo in his first year. How's that been working out? He criticized Bush for his handling of Afghanistan and said he'd get us out. Then sent 30K more troops. He said he would bring our country together, then divided us along racial (the policeman acted stupidly), socioeconomic (class warfare) and even religious lines. I'm an atheist and he even offended me. Now he accuses businesses of being lazy as he flits around the world in his private $100K per hour jet campaigning. He's the worst president in the history of our country.

Small businesses cannot be this country's savior. The manufacturing we lost needs to come back in large scale and that will not happen until the US is made friendly to corporations.

Oh please... complete nonsense! Corporations shipped over 3 million jobs overseas while "corporate friendly" Bush and Conservatives were in control from 2000 thru 2006. The reason corporations are moving employment overseas is because they can get people to work there for $3/hr.
MB - That is only part of the reason....the rest of the reason is because there are several foreign countries that are giving huge tax breaks and even some that are not charging the companies tax at all. If our country would impose a tarrif on incoming goods so those companies cannot make and ship their goods back to us for less than what those same goods can be made here, they would stay here. I am all for free enterprise but for me anyway if a company in our country moves out then it should never be let back in...ever!

Unfortunately, after a number of loans were defaulted on it eventually reached a tipping point. That is the source for the current recession. The duration of the recession is on Obama and the Democrats however. They are pushing for more interference in business with more regulation and inspections. I recently worked with a firm that went through an AA/EEO audit. It really came at an inoportune time as it distracted the company from other matters. Also, Obamacare, while well-meaning has created an environment where companies are uncertain about how much it will cost to hire. Until they sort it out, they are being financially conservative.
