Lara Logan I am so sorry about your recent ordeal. I wish I could have all their heads on a stick. May God bless you. I am a Vietnam veteran and am familiar with war and such, but this was simply absurd and unforgivable! I hope you get this note and other support. Robert L. DuMonte
As a parent of a great guy on the front lines in that slop hole, it utterly takes my breath to see so much combat recorded without air cover. I know it's hugely expensive to use those air assets, but am deeply dismayed to see these wonderful young men shouldering the war with what they can carry.
You mentioned in this 'Q & A' live chat that we are in Afghan (quagmire) b/c of 9/11, but why no mention of 9/11 motivation (see associated video with this question)?:
Following is the video mentioned above (be sure to watch the videos that automatically play right after first one finishes):
What Motivated the 9/11 Hijackers? See testimony most didn't:

Even the most respected intelligence author/writer (James Bamford) in America mentioned (see last comment at bottom of following URL associated with his 'Spy Factory' NOVA documentary which aired on PBS repeatedly last year) said that we have to address the motivation for our terror problem:
Lara, you mentioned that we went into Afghan quagmire because of 9/11 but never address the primary motivation for 9/11 as discussed via *******.com/911motivation
Lara, why don't you mention (and ask General Petraeus about) the neoconservatives advising General Petraeus like Iran's Press TV channel just did this past week via the following interview that you might want to take a look at at your convenience?:
Are the NATO activities leaving enough in the minds of the Afghanis so that they can learn new ways of thinking, of living? Is it possible for our "western"?minds to comprehend other ways, and work toward a new future? It seems unlikely that our equipment and our technology, say, in agriculture, is readily adaptable to the countryside.
I would very much like to ask Lara Logan if there are any US soldiers with English as their first language who have studied Pashtun enough to serve as reliable translators for their American soldier-colleagues? Not Dari or Urdu or other languages of the country and region, but the Pashtu or Pathan dialects used by the natives around Jalalabad and that part of eastern Afghanistan? Does she know of any US soldiers or even FSOs she's aware of who have learned Pushtun or Pashto or whatever the dialect is called by westerners?
