Fighting Leukemia is a long arduous journey. It is easy and quick, a cheek swab, to be tested and entered into the US bone marrow data base. The bone marrow transplant can change a person's blood type. Despite the high success rate of curing Leukemia, the huge percentage of Leukemia survivors die from complications due to their immune system fighting the new and foreign blood.
