- This would be a great project for a public service announcement. The only drawback I can see is that manufacturers would likely protest it because it would make them accountable for producing unsafe materials. It's going to take a grassroots effort by parents across the nation to get things changed. This is one of the most worthy causes I've seen for protesting lack of product safety. How many more children need to get burned before something can be done? People die from burns. Let's hope no tiny children get that severely burned.

- IT REALLY IS NOT A MATTER OF BLAME-WE SHOULD JUST LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN I HAVE RAISED TWO SONS AND HAVE SIX GRANDCHILDREN AND I NEVER KNEW THIS COULD HAPPEN

- Ultimate responsibility lies with the parents, ALWAYS!! I mean, come on, how ignorant can we be, things get hot in the sun, so why would you put your child on something hot. No warnings should be necessary if we act like responsible adults. Take responsibility for your actions and protect your children. That's your job! Don't blame someone else for your stupidity or inattention. Accountability is the name of the game. Enough said !! My prayers for the child in this news story. Sorry mom, bottom line.....it's your fault.

- Exactly, the first thing we do when we do to the park in the summer is touch the slide (or any item that may come in contact with skin) if its hot, we don't let the kids go on it. Its all common sense which seems to be lost on most people these days. I truly hope the little girls recovers fully and that the mom has learned a valuable lesson.
