- Awesome is the most annoyingly over-used and improperly used word in the English language today. I can't WAIT until it goes out of style. I don't know who made it popular. There are people who say that word 10 times in less than 30 seconds. When I watch TV, I fast-forward or erase the recording the minute I hear "Awesome" more than once. I can't even tune into the Jimmy Fallon show, because he repeats that word like a form of Turrets Syndrome. It's pathetic. And "moments of awesome" is incorrect useage. Why is it people in the last 10 to 15 years have forgotten how to speak or write properly in English? I won't read this book, because I don't even allow people to utter "Awesome" in my presence.
