My mother passed away almost 3 years ago from ALS. It was the hardest thing to watch her go threw this. A strong women who raised 4 children by herself.Did everything she could for us. And we could do nothing to make her better. We would do anything to just another day with her. But to lie to the peaple and the families that deal with this is heartbreaking. Its bad enough to have to deal with the fact that one is dying and watching yourself turn into someone you cant reconize. But to have peaple out there trying to exployt them is unimagenable. THANK YOU 60 MINS FOR EXPOSING THEM.

60 minutes finds its balls again! I thought this kind of tough, face-to-face format was only allowed on cable today,,, it is GREAT to see it back where it started on 60 minutes! Now if we can just get the FDA to grow a set, we could shut these frauds down! Thanks

It was very inaccurate and irresponsible for Scott Pelle to include autism among the "incurable" diseases he mentioned at the beginning of the story. There are many cases in which people have recovered from autism.

Ah what are people upset about. This is free market capitalism. Anybody who wants to regulate this or control people's choice must be some kind of socialist.

As Dick Cheney would say, So........ There are a lot of Evangelists who tell you that the more money you give to them, the more blessings you'll get; plus get eternal life. Huh? So the guy promising to cure all ailments, for a price, may give them hope that they might want to latch onto. Maybe hope will give them a happier life. Whatever works.

To Prayingfrcure:

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister, but please remember, there are at least two sides to every story. Proverbs 18:17 says, "The first to present his case seems right, until another comes forward and questions him". It has been documented over the years, and we have all seen it, the sensationalistic news reporting of not only CBS, but of others as well, just to get ratings. My suggestion to CBS, and others that think only pills or current medicine will help, PROVE IT WRONG!! Put your money where your mouth is. If this could help, why not try it. Just because states that it won't work doesn't mean that it won't ever work. I take you back to the Wright brothers. Thank God they did not listen to the nay sayers. This could be a huge medical break through. However, we won't know until we put it to a test.

Way to go CBS & 60 Minutes. It's amazing how editing can make anyone look like a bad guy, even a man with the ability to cure ALS. Dr. Stowe gave me hope, helped my symptoms, and ultimately saved my life.

No one should be quick to judge a person who has a hidden camera interview by a news media agency that has a HISTORY of expose scandals that end up being FAKE. Lets think back on how many times CBS has had to issue apologies, been taken to court for slander, and ultimately needed to pay out millions for their skewed reporting.

The magic of cameras, clipping one question and tying it to another answer, and doing it all in the name of ratings is the CBS way.

We are in the 21st century... don't think one way because the media tells you to. Find out the facts FOR YOURSELF!!!

Ok Dr. Stowe. How about using your right name? If this isn't Dr. Stow than how about giving your name and address to Scott Pelley so he can verify your claims?
