I look forward to the day when sexual deviants are allowed to adopt children and serve openly in the military. I can't believe that anyone would condemn or oppose this! I am in the Navy and I want our homosexuals to be free to tell us about their sexual deviation and I want them to be loud and proud! I want to be able to look around me and 24/7 on a 6 month deployment and take comfort in knowing that the people who I'm working closely with and sharing living quarters with are sexual deviants. I want them to be able to walk around on the boat all day long proclaiming their deviation for me and all of my fellow honorable servicemembers to hear, including the Captain, the Commodore and all of the marines on the boat! I will not rest until sexual deviants are practicing their deviation openly, loud and proud, in full military uniform. Dear God please get them into the service. And to those of you that are in the service having to conceal your sexual deviation; thank you for your service! We're gonna make sure you can be open, it might take some more work, but we'll make it happen!!! God bless you guys
Here is the issue with this (and I'm a libertarian, for gay rights and personal beliefs) as a military spouse my husband and I have spoken about this issue many times and it is not a matter of can a gay person do as good of a job as a straight person? It is a matter of quarters. In the military they live in what is called berthing areas and there are usually just enough beds to go around, occasionaly a few extras in female berthing just because there are less women on average. Men sleep in rooms with men and women sleep in rooms with women. This is to avoid sexual encounters with each other, which the military also has strict rules about! Now how do you propose that they divide up berthing with gay crew members? Gay male berthing, gay female berthing, straight male berthing, straight female berthing? And depending upon the size of the ships or even once you get to submarines there may be only 2 or 3 rooms and upper enlisted and officers get smaller and more private rooms. How will they accomidate them with their sexual preferences? It has nothing to do with adequacy or ability. It is purely a logistics question. As a straight female I would be uncomfortable rooming with a female I knew was interested in women, much like I would be uncomfortable rooming with a man.

Does that mean is will be ok to hold hands, kiss and brag about it. Soldiers are not the sensetive intellectuals of Harvard. They are trained to kill and be killed. Obama should not mess around with that.
