Air Security Tightens

- If individuals were a bit more conscious of rules and respected regulations, perhaps security would be less oblique. I have been on flights on which people have carried on several carry-on bags, including shopping bags STUFFED with their junk. In addition, I have witnessed people with carts of large luggage, appropriate for a Jamesian hero or heroine rather than a 21st century traveller. If people carry ONE true carry-on and ONE piece of check-in luggage - at least until this situation is under control- I think it would make the security issue a bit more manageable. Of course, those individuals who cry that their freedom is being challenged because their gluttony is being curtailed, will believe that the 'other' people should obey airline rules. I'd like to know how many times this recent bomber had travelled 'first class' and was perhaps--not intensely searched or not under suspicion? Shame on us! As the son of a wealthy father, he probably eluded closer inspection because of a lack of scrutiny that his status afforded him.
