According to Kathleen Sebeulus, "They (the insurance companies) are likely to cover it (the mammogram)". In addition, the commentator also said, "If recommended by a doctor it should be covered".
As a woman who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 46, my gynecologist, oncologist, and surgeon recommended an MRI due to the tye of cancer I had. This test has been denied over and over again for the last 6 years.
The insurance companies are not the least bit interested in what our doctors have to say. The are soley interested in their bottom line. Don't let anyone confuse the bills wording or anyone else backing this new ruling on mammographies. I have been living through the nightmare for 6 years. Nothing has change. This new ruling will only make it more difficult.
Katie Couric continues to belittle and critique her interviewers. She always has a tone of disbelief in the answers they give and continues to question their answers even after they give her their final answer. She takes a political stab at every person who has a conservative opinion and always questions why they are answering the question and makes them defend themselves. I can not stand her tone. It is always condesending and judgemental and she should be taken off the air because of her bias. She berates people she interviews and does not keep a neutral ground. She is very unprofessional in her job which should be to ask questions and accept the answers once they are given - not keep asking to try and stump them and find flaws in their responses. Please replace her. She stays in last place and that should speak for itself !!!!
