I'm really amazed at the outcome of this story. 48 Hours did a story about a missing woman named Beverly Watson. She was eventually proven to be deceased when small bone fragments were found and identified as her final remains. Her husband, at the time of her disapperance, Jim Watson told police that they had argued, and that she said she was going away to think about their relationship (or something like that, I don't remember exactly because it's been a while since I saw that episode). Anyway, the SAME thing (in this case) was said by the medical examiner in her case. The manner of death was listed as UNDETERMINED because (as the coroner said at Jim Watson's trial) "a cause of death could not be determined just by looking at the bones alone. I defy ANYONE to ascertain an accurate cause of death". But with a cercumstancial case, and QUESTIONABLE eye-witness testimony, Jim Watson was found guilty and sent to prison. While the two men in THIS case have admitted to having SOME role in this young man's disappearance, Jim Watson maintained his innocence from DAY ONE. The assistant state's attorney in THIS case (Sherry Tate Jenkins) made the RIGHT decision, as dissapointing as it is. If you can't prove a HOMICIDE occurred, how can you prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. In Jim Watson's case, the lack of a cause of death; proof a murder actually happened, somehow wasn't needed.

everytime i try to watch 48 hours on your site it won't play. yes i have the proper applications installed to play it on my computer but it just won't do it. i watch dateline and have no problems it is only when i try to watch cbs that i have this very irritating problem. i cannot understand why this keeps happening only on your site.
The preview says is the kid a runaway or victim of a serial killer. Obviously neither. I wonder if cbs knows what a serial killer is? Cause an accidental killing or not has nothing to do with being a serial killer. And the DA in this case has no balls. They had enough evidence where any jury would have put this guy away.
On June 8th I tried to watch Deep Secret, but the volume was very low I could only hear it with my headset plugged into my computer only after turning the volume up to the maximum level which is usually loud. Unfortunately, I like to listen while I'm doing chores or moving around. I thought I would give it another try today, and I had no problem with the volume whatsoever. This time with my headset on it was too loud. Thanks for fixing the problem!

I've always thought it was the best friend that killed him.
