- I am completely disgusted by the fact that CBS This Morning had the Ringling Bros ringmaster on its show. Ringling Bros is known for its cruelty to animals and when the ringmaster was questioned about it I could tell from his answer that he was not denying it. He said they were well taken care of, but that could just mean that they are fed and their veterinary needs are met. It does not mean they are not beaten into submission. They are beaten to get them to perform their jobs. Elephants are not meant to live under the conditions that they live under. I just watched a video at http://www.ringlingbeatsanimals.com where the abuse is obvious to see and it breaks my heart to watch it. CBS News needs to rectify the horrible mistake that it made yesterday and show what really goes on at Ringling Brothers. They need to do all they can to help those poor animals. As for me I will never go to a circus that uses animals and by showing that advertisement CBS This Morning is saying that they condone such horrible behavior. Shame on them!

- I often watch your show. I'm dismayed and saddened CBS allowed, indeed featured and continues to feature, a commercial, a lengthy commercial at that, of the "cruelest show on earth." Please consider the videos taken of, and testimony about, the merciless beatings (and simple abuse of standing for hours on end, performing unnatural tricks, forced to travel on trucks and other vehicles) of the animals - elephants, tigers, etc. - WILD animals who should not be subject to silly tricks and beaten for not following the "masters'" orders. Please give equal time to showing the abuse of the "circus industry" - please be REPORTERS! Cirque de Soleil could also be featured, as its performers are voluntarily "performing."
