- The only thing this automatic action will tell American is that the Republicans are hell bent on obfuscating everything President Obama stands for or supports, regardless of the cost to the country and its citizens. They continue to prove they are completely unwilling and unable to adapt to the economic reality of globalization still stuck in the 1980s. Apparently they are more than willing to allow yet another four years to go by while they stonewall and block the current administration at every turn. I shudder to think of what lies ahead for our country over the next four years - natural disasters, terrorist attacks, immigration and health care challenges to name a few - while Republicans fiddle and engage President Obama in an unyielding game of chicken.
