- The laws and procedures need to be changed such that when someone is charged with menacing with a firearm (among other things, like domestic violence), they are automatically subjected to search and seizure of all weapons. Sure, in this case it likely would have resulted in him shooting at police and holing up in his bunker, but at least innocent people would not be involved. After all the previous incidents with neighbors there is no excuse for him to still be in possession of firearms.

- They need to be finding a way to get Ethan out of there, it has be TOO long since he has been with his family. Sitting and waiting for the dude to make his move is ridiculous! If that was my child I would have done everything to get him back instead of waiting.. example, when they bring down the medicine for ethan give him something that will put him to sleep, then wait a few hours to be safe than throw a flash bang thing down there and jump in and take the dude down and get Ethan! That poor boy shouldnt have to be down there any longer, 4 days is way to long with his condition. His parents are freaking out and worried, think about how Ethan is feeling. To the people on the scene, put your head together and SAVE ETHAN!!!
