This woman is a perfect example of making decisions based on emotion instead of logic. Her child is more likely to die by drowning during the next year than he is of being a victim of multiple shooting during the next 300 YEARS (if he could live that long).

If we as society base our decisions on emotion rather than logic, I don't think we'll be very happy with where we as a society end up.

There once was a woman, an attorney, who was dining out with her parents. A gunman came in and shot the place up. The lady had a concealed carry permit but was forbidden to carry inside the restaurant. As a law-abiding citizen, she left the gun in her car. She watched as the gunman killed both of her parents. Sometimes it takes the loss of a family member to wake up. Many applicants at concealed carry permit classes are women who either have been a victim of crime or don't want to be the next stat. You liberals, your time will come.

Actually, she is a Doctor of Chiropractic. Her name is Suzanna Gratia Hupp. You can google her name and find her brilliant testimony during a Congressional Hearing regarding gun control laws and the true meaning of the 2nd Amendment.

TO NEWSTER90210:

The kind of "HUNTING" for entertainment, that you described as always made me cringe too. I agree with you one-hundred (spelled out) percent! I have never been able to understand how people can do such things in the name of "entertainment" and even teach it to their children.

I use to think that the majority of men did that and thought that if they only had to carry a baby for nine months, they would not be able to kill the way they do. Then, one day, I came to the horrible realization that there are women who do the same. So, I am entirely at a loss to comprehend what people find so enjoyable about that, especially in the absence of hunger and desperation.

We don't need to live in a constant state of fear, the media is perpetuating this "state of fear". Knock it off.

Some of us old timers recall being able to smoke in hospital rooms or anywhere else we damned well please. The insanity of unbridled tobacco use was slowly replaced by common sense regulations and more importantly a change in attitude of smokers themselves who realized they were practicing an insane behavior. The day will come when gun owners will see the correlation between the proliferation of unregulated guns and thousands of deaths as senseless as those self-inflicted by nicotine.

It's funny to see complaints from the gun crowd about mass hysteria.

I've heard that there are a number of Newtown residents that were anti-gun, but are now pro-gun because they see the need to protect themselves instead of relying on others during situations like this.

Notice he didn't ask if she thought that it would have been nice if one of the teachers had a concealed carry permit and would have shot that psycho POS.

One person changes her mind and it's a big story. A boatload of people are buying and supporting guns for protection in response to this tragedy.
SO go find them and get their story published
