Not a problem. The current administration will just tighten the screws as to when you can see a doctor. If you can't prove you are going to die soon, then there is no need for a doctor. If you are in fact going to die soon, then why see a doctor? Problem solved ether way. Of course these rules will not apply for the higher ranking members of the current admin, democratic party leadership, union leadership, the wealthy chaps that donate the most to the democratic party and illegal aliens that happen to be in current favor of the president.
No family doctor can cure what you have EETRRL "Excessive Exposure To Radical Republican Lies" A very contagious disease you caught from watching to much Fox News.
Your only MYOPINIONPAL comment is to accuse me of watching too much fox news? A little lacking in critical thinking skills. Sad really. I blame public school systems. Spending more time brainwashing kids in towing the party line instead teaching skills to succeed in life, has it effects.
Students going to a state funded medical school, completely funded by federal loans, will graduate, on the average, $180-$200,000 in debt. This debt may also be on top of an existing undergraduate debt as well. Private medical schools are even more expensive. The interest rates on the federal loans taken out to support a medical student's education are 6.8% on Stafford loans and 7.9% on Grad Plus loans. Some students have to supplement their federal loans further with private loans that have even higher interest rates. Once a student graduates their four years of medical school, they go on to either an internship, residency, or might then go on to further their specialty through a fellowship. The pay these doctors receive during this part of their education is minimal, covering little more than cost of living. All the while their student loans are compounding interest and their debt rises even further. This being said, it would financial suicide for a young doctor carrying this kind of debt to take a job in rural America that only pays $40K a year. If doctors are needed in these areas then there will have to be some kind of federal loan forgiveness incentive for them to practice in rural communities otherwise the problem of these areas being under served will continue.
This is where a win-win opportunity exists for NPs and PAs. While many physicians may look a bit stringently at the "bottom line," this gives opportunity for "mid-level providers" to fill the void. Now...if we can just get the lobbyists for the AMA on board, things will start to change for the better, and this demographic can be better served by people who are not only willing, but extremely well educated in their respectable fields. Fine by me.
