We had a son who was a "night cougher" . Charlie the cat would lie on the rug beside his bed all night.
When the other son did the same, Charlie would get up to the top bunk and sleep near that
"brother".

And there are many people that treat them so inhumanly...

Schools across the world should add another subject to their curriculum- How to respect and treat all animals with dignity.

The only reason dogs are thought to be inferior to humans is the lack of thumbs grab things and lips to form words.

I read this in the UK Daily Mail yesterday. Don't know how they do it, but can get a story five minutes after it takes place. Five minutes after one of Obama's b/s speeches are over, it is printed.

You're probably reading the Daily Mail's made-up stories.

Our 10 year old Pointer Labrador cross followed our little boy all over the neighborhood, now that the boy is 10 years old, he jumps our a six foot fence and follows the toddlers in the neighborhood around, keeping watch on them,
nudging them and 'slapping' them with his big tail and cleaning their faces with his tongue.

Is it possible that dogs will someday evolve off those two front paws and someday walk with man again as better friends than ever?

Good Dog, My Golden Retriever/English Setter Mix. Followed my two daughters in the neighborhood when they were little. The girls were 10 years apart in age so he was only taking care of one girl at a time. When I needed to know where they were playing I could just call Zack, and he would show himself to me, and I would know she was nearby. He would never leave them alone outside. He was a very popular dog in the neighborhood.

Lovely story, JK, about Zack. Thank you. Both your dog and the one in the video are good to hear about and counter all the sad stories that come up about dogs. I grew up with dogs and am so glad I did. When I was frustrated or sad, they would comfort me.
