To make excuses about Paula Broadwell's national security breach; simply because she's General Petraeus's chippy is offensive. Her relation to Petraeus does not excuse her behavior wheth,er the press likes her because of her pretty face or not.
Anyone who has served in our military should have been trained that they not only don't conduct themselves the way she has -- sending threatening emails and using your relation to a high powered figure to try and intimidate another human being; and bringing national security communications home. And General Petraeus should have set her straight when he realized she was doing this. As a CIA Director, he failed for that reason, no matter what his career successes were. Kudos to him for recognizing that and not making excuses, as others feel a need to.
